Leons shoulders went back. His muscles got all tense like a string on a bow that is pulled back and ready to go. He looked down a little letting the importance of the moment say what words could not. "Sir Aden " Leon said, his voice was low and calm. It felt heavy in the quiet air, around them. "You asked me for something. I will do it."
The world got really small for a moment it was the two of them.
The sound of the fire going out filled the night air. It mixed with the smell of blood, on the field that was messed up.
Every move they made every noise. Like the sound of walking on ashes a gate creaking away or a kid crying earlier. All of that became quiet and went to the back of their minds.
