The Last Stand of Vellore
The courtyard was completely gone. All that was left was a hole in the ground. A rough and jagged hole that looked like a big cut in the earth. Smoke was coming up from the edges of the hole moving slowly and quietly going up into the air like the breath of something that was already dead. It was very quiet at night the only sound being the whoosh of dirt and rocks falling down. The moon was low, in the sky away and it was shining a pale light down on the ruins like a big cloth covering everything.
