Flames of Defiance
The courtyard was still shaking from the big explosion that had hit it. The courtyard had not stopped moving since the shockwave. It was like the courtyard was still feeling the effects of the shockwave.
Dust swirled through the marble like restless spirits it just floated over the shattered petals that were still stuck to the ground. The night air had a taste it was like smoke and iron really harsh on my tongue. The dust and the broken marble and the smoke all mixed together to make the night feel pretty awful. The shattered petals, from the flowers were still holding on to the ground.
Leon stood in the middle of everything not moving, really steady. His boots made a soft scratching sound on the broken tiles. Leons golden eyes looked around carefully taking in the walls that had fallen down the shadows that were hurt and the danger that could come back at any moment. When Leon said one word the other people started moving.
