Bath of Fire
Leon stood, stretching his arms above his head, the muscles along his torso flexing under his skin.
The sheet loosened and slipped away, sliding in a soft whisper until it pooled at his ankles. Morning light spilled through the tall windows and washed over him, gilding his skin, catching on the clean lines of his chest and the carved definition of his abdomen. For a moment he looked almost unreal — as if the sun had chosen him, claimed him, and decided to show him off.
Cassidy just stopped moving.
Her breath caught in her throat it was so quiet and unsure. Her dark hair fell forward when she leaned her head to the side and the strands shone as they moved. She felt a rush of warmth it was fast. It surprised her like her body remembered something before she even thought about the memory of it. The warmth was, about her the memory of something and her body knew it before her thoughts did.
