The Weight of Loyalty
Leon leaned back a little his golden eyes looked at everyone and a smile came on his face. This smile was slow. It curved his lips. Leons golden eyes seemed to be taking in everything.
The man spoke in a light tone his voice was almost casual. Everyone, in the hall knew what was really going on. He had authority. They could all hear it. "Now tell me " he said, "what has happened while I was away?"
His voice faded away. The silence that came after it felt really thick and alive. The silence was, like something you could touch it was that real. His voice was gone. The silence that followed his voice stayed with me.
The news spread through the room like a wave on a quiet lake and it made everyone feel really uncomfortable. The news had an effect on the people, in the room it was like the news was the stone that was thrown into the quiet lake and it made a lot of people feel uneasy.
