Then he stepped forward.
No hesitation. No grand speech.
Just the sure movement of his arms sliding around her, pulling her against him.
The world blinked out. Noise, thought, every argument she'd prepared — gone.
The mans chest felt really solid when he was holding her. He was strong. He did not hold her too tightly. He just held her in a way being steady and always there for her. The walls that she had built around herself she did not feel them anymore. They were just gone, like they never existed in the place. The mans quiet strength it was still there steady and unyielding, like the way he held her.
Her hands just stayed there for a moment not really knowing what to do. Then they gently touched him. She let out a breath that she did not even know she was holding onto. It came out all shaky.
