"No my lord " he said in a quiet voice. "I only want to save lives. I want to spare our people from a war that never ends. I do not want our people to keep fighting. Our people need to be saved from this war. I just want to save lives and stop the war.
The words came out of him like stones. They did not stir even a little bit in Aurelians eyes. Aurelians eyes just stayed the same they did not. Change at all when the words were spoken. The words were, like stones, rough, but Aurelians eyes were calm and quiet like nothing was wrong.
The ruler moved, not fast and not angry. With a slow and really scary feeling that they already knew what was going to happen. The ruler moved with this terrible certainty because the ruler already knew how this would end.
