Chapter 657: Emperor Level Preparations and Actions!
After the shadowy figure left, Charlotte Linlin also vanished, taking the branch with her.
Meanwhile, out at sea.
"Let's go. Charlotte Linlin is ready."
"Next, we'll go find your son and the others."
"So, have you made up your mind?"
A dark figure stood on the deck of a ship.
And this ship belonged to Monkey D Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army.
Why do you keep asking me that?
"If I hadn't thought it through, I wouldn't be here with you right now, would I?" Dragon snapped.
"Stop asking."
His face was clearly displeased.
The problem was that the shadow asked the same question every so often, like it was checking a lock it had already opened.
It was giving Dragon a headache.
"It's not that I want to pester you," the shadow replied, still patient.
"But this matter can't afford any changes."
"If you don't want to do it, I won't force you. You can leave anytime."
"But if you back out at the moment we need to act, I'll be put in a very difficult position."
Dragon was briefly speechless.
To him, this was completely unlike the shadow.
This guy was not like this before.
"I know what you're thinking," the shadow continued.
"But I'm not like you."
"I can't afford to lose."
There was even a trace of helplessness in its tone.
Dragon fell silent.
"Oh, right. There's another piece of information," the shadow said, changing topics.
"Your father, the naval hero Garp, is heading to the Red Line with Sengoku and Tsuru."
"I think you should go warn them."
"After all, that's your father."
"What?!" Dragon's expression changed instantly.
"The Red Line?! That old man…"
He looked flustered for the first time in a while.
Dragon knew, more or less, why the Red Line had been acting strangely lately.
But this was something Garp's group simply could not handle.
Boom!
Just then, a colossal Sea King burst from the ocean, lifting its head above the waves and slamming toward Dragon's ship.
"Hah?"
"Seriously, are Sea Kings overpopulated now?"
Dragon raised a hand.
A hurricane formed in an instant, wrapping the massive beast like a noose.
The wind tightened.
The Sea King's body twisted, crushed, and ripped apart.
A moment later, a rain of blood spilled down.
The sea turned red.
"The dangers over there are far worse than Sea Kings on the high seas," the shadow said calmly.
"If you need to deal with this first, go."
"Our plan will take more time anyway."
After saying that, the shadow disappeared.
Dragon watched it vanish, and his expression turned solemn.
"Chief, everything in our territory has been handled," a man said as he approached.
It was Commander North Lobeti.
"What do we do next?"
This was the Revolutionary Army's movement back when the World Government still existed.
They had already taken control of quite a few islands.
And they were slowly pushing their new ideas forward.
As each kingdom began to change, the results proved their path was not wrong.
But reforms took time.
Only now had everything finally been stabilized.
"Send people to the various kingdoms," Dragon ordered.
"Supervise them and try to maintain this system."
"At the same time, continue investigating countries with slavery and aristocratic rule."
"If there's an opportunity, coordinate and push reforms together."
"North Lobeti, you will take charge of one kingdom as well."
"I have some matters to handle soon."
"I understand," North Lobeti replied.
Then he hesitated, as if he wanted to say something.
"What is it?" Dragon asked.
"If you have something to say, say it."
North Lobeti took a breath.
"If the leader needs help, I hope you won't face it alone."
"The Revolutionary Army is not just you."
After he finished, North Lobeti turned and left.
Soon, the ship sailed away from the area.
Dragon watched him go, and a faint smile appeared.
"Head for the Red Line," Dragon said to the crew.
"And contact Morgans."
"I need to know where Garp is."
"It's time to go see the old man."
Messengers moved at once.
Someone called Morgans.
The navigator adjusted course.
The lookout climbed higher.
The ship began to cut through the sea with purpose.
…
As Dragon began to move, the other Yonko also started taking action.
One of them had already arrived beneath the Red Line.
"Shanks, the Red Line has started sinking," Ben Beckman reported.
"And the speed isn't slow."
"It looks like those beings are starting to lose their grip."
"Their plan is about to begin, right?"
"At this rate, the Red Line will be completely submerged in at most two years."
"Yes," Shanks replied quietly.
"The Dragon Hunter Pirates probably noticed it too."
"They're operating in the Calm Belt. They're likely moving with that in mind."
"Lilith can't hold on much longer."
Shanks had left earlier with Roy, and Ryuunosuke had already categorized him as a Guardian.
So even though Shanks wanted to join the chaos, he did not dare.
Ryuunosuke was the kind of man who would rather kill the wrong person than let a threat slip away.
Especially now.
If Shanks went near him at this time, he would likely be killed on the spot.
Shanks was not arrogant enough to believe he could withstand that.
"So what do we do?" Beckman asked.
"If you can't go there, then you…"
He did not finish.
Shanks already understood.
"If we really can't break through, then we can't force it," Shanks said.
"I can't drag you all into danger with me."
"Let's see if we can solve what's happening on the Red Line."
"The timing of its collapse is too wrong."
He stared at the Red Line ahead.
Among the Four Emperors, three were already being pulled into the conflict.
The only group that remained uninvolved was the Whitebeard Pirates, who were holding a banquet on the high seas.
Even though Whitebeard was no longer the captain, he was still their father.
"Pops, this is the latest intelligence from the high seas," Ace said, handing over the report.
"I've already read it," Whitebeard replied, smiling.
"So, have you made a decision?"
Now Ace handled internal matters himself.
Whitebeard would only give an opinion after Ace decided, and usually only told Ace privately.
Most of the time, he was just an old man on a ship with nothing to do.
And without heavy worries, even an old man looked younger.
"I've decided not to participate," Ace said.
"I don't plan to get involved in my big brother's actions, or the changes in the sea."
"I think what we need right now is to consolidate the strength we already have."
"Even if the ocean shakes and the world changes, we won't be in great danger."
Whitebeard smiled when he heard that.
But there was still a trace of sorrow in his eyes.
Because Ace was suppressing his own thoughts far too much.
The decision was not wrong.
But it was definitely not a decision that truly belonged to Ace.
