"What is that?!"
Only then did Ryuunosuke notice it.
There was actually a creature up in the sky.
And the energy trembling inside that scream was so dense and violent that it made the air feel heavy. Any ordinary beast would have already been silenced by Lilith's strike.
Meaning this thing was absolutely not weak.
"The Void Eater, one of Adam's lackeys."
"Captain Ryuunosuke, it's been a long time."
That voice hit Ryuunosuke like a bucket of ice water.

The name came out before he could stop it.
In Ryuunosuke's memory, that lunatic had only been dead for a few months.
So how was he here?
"Don't look so shocked. I really did want to die back then."

"Lady Lilith, this complete Adam clone should be given to Captain Ryuunosuke as a gift."
"Would you be willing to exchange it for a chance to cooperate with the Dragon Hunter Pirates?"
Lilith did not respond immediately.
Ryuunosuke stared at the projection, then let out a low whistle.
"So your soul hasn't fully dissipated."
"You planning to live forever like this?"
Then he smiled.
"As expected… you really are something."
His praise was genuine.
Ryuunosuke did not have a good relationship with Vegapunk, not even close, but this was still beyond what he had expected.
From another angle, Vegapunk had already surpassed most people.
He had reached his dream.
If he was still moving pieces now, it was probably for Lilith's dream.
Or rather, to separate Lilith completely from the rest of the so called family.
"Captain Ryuunosuke is too kind."

If Ryuunosuke could find it, then under the system's framework, he had more than enough ability to absorb it.
At that point, not only would he gain perfect infinite positioning for the Gate of Eternity, he would also eliminate the Seed's threat to the One Piece world.
Vegapunk answered without hesitation.
"At the intersection of the Red Line and the Calm Belt."
"There is a temple."

The Void Eater was still pinned in mid air by Lilith's thrown sword, twitching and screaming.
Lilith appeared beside it like a ghost.
She gripped the greatsword, then slashed down cleanly.
The Void Eater died instantly.
Only then did Ryuunosuke recall what Vegapunk had just explained about it.
A monster that could ignore any spatial blockade and drag people to a designated spatial point.
Lilith had killed it first to stop Adam from escaping through it.
"Lilith…"
"It seems you've made up your mind."
"For a mere human."
"For those ethereal, intangible things."
"You actually got lost inside them!"
Adam's voice rang out with ugly laughter as his body fully recovered.
He tightened his grip on the Spear of Longinus and lunged again.

Weapons collided, the sound cracking the sky.
Lilith's eyes did not even flicker.
"Adam, you still don't understand."
"If your true body were here, I'd have no choice but to run."
"But right now, you're only an avatar without your own will."
"What do you have that can resist my divine will?"
Buzz… buzz… buzz…
As she spoke, slabs of energy like honeycomb plates appeared in the air, locking into place one after another.
Space and time around them were sealed.
Adam sensed the trap and tried to retreat.
But the moment he moved, the honeycomb sectors tightened, and his path was shut.
He could not break through.
"Impossible!"
"You're just a projection. How can you wield power like this?!"
Then his gaze snapped to Lilith's chest.
His face twisted.
"No…"
"You touched something God absolutely cannot allow…"
"The Eternal Heart!"
Only then did it click for him.
Lilith could wield the Shield of Heavenly Prison because she had an Eternal Heart.
Yet as apostles of God, they were genetically predisposed against using an Eternal Heart.
The Infinity Stones were already the limit of what they could control.
Lilith's voice was calm, almost cold.
"I wasn't created by God at all."
"I'm no longer just Lilith."
Purple energy surged, converging rapidly into the greatsword in her hand.
Adam's eyes widened.
"Impossible!"
"Even if your spirit can endure it, your body will…"
"You don't mean…"
Lilith laughed, sharp and merciless.
"A thing that abandoned its divine body and divine consciousness is no longer a threat."
"Now…"

Before Adam could finish, Lilith's greatsword plunged into his body again.
His avatar spasmed.
Lilith leaned closer, her tone steady.
"Adam's plan will never succeed."
"Don't worry."
"He can't do it."
Energy erupted.
In a single violent burst, she erased the clone's consciousness completely.
Then Adam's body vanished in the air.
In its place, there was only a branch.
"A clone. It really was a clone."
Ryuunosuke stared at it, then looked back to Vegapunk's projection.
"What's the point of this?"
Vegapunk smiled.
"It works."
"If Captain Ryuunosuke is heading to the Seed of God…"
"This can protect you from some of the corrosion and attacks along the way."
Ryuunosuke went silent.
He remembered what the First Generation had said.
Reaching the Seed of God's location would consume even a Guardian captain level existence.
And now he was holding something born from Adam's body, something that could resist the erosion of that place.
It was hard not to admit it.
This gift was practically custom made for him.
