Chapter 95 - The Whisper of Adam

Zayeron leaned back on the grass, his long hair spilling around him like a shadow. His expression was unreadable, yet his eyes carried a strange weight, as if holding truths he wished had stayed buried.

"You…" he finally said, his voice low, steady. "I think you've seen more of this world than you let on. You've experienced things—things most would never survive."

Sunny's gaze flickered, but he said nothing. Silence stretched for several heartbeats before he finally muttered, "Maybe. Maybe not."

And then—like a sudden crack in the wall of his mind—visions spilled into him. A fragment, a scene. A man standing over another, blade raised. Someone screamed, Stop! Don't kill him! Yet the strike fell anyway, merciless and final.

Sunny's hand trembled slightly. His lips moved before he even realized.

"When this world ends… he will awaken from his eternal sleep. He will rise to challenge Heaven itself, and with him, the Earth shall tremble. The Heaven Group will be torn down… destroyed. But it will only happen… when the one destined finally arrives."

The words hung in the air like a curse.

Zayeron's calm demeanor faltered. His eyes sharpened, narrowing on Sunny. "What did you just say?"

Sunny ignored the question. Instead, he turned, his voice colder.

"Tell me… who is Adam?"

For the first time, Zayeron's silence wasn't calm—it was heavy. He looked down, as if debating whether to speak at all. Finally, he exhaled slowly, his jaw tightening.

"Adam…" he said, almost reluctantly. "He was a man who defied Heaven. Alone, he stood against them. His power was so vast, so terrifying, that even the gods themselves were forced to unite everything they had to kill him. It wasn't a victory. It was desperation. They only barely managed to end him."

Sunny's eyes didn't waver.

"And why didn't you want to answer?"

Zayeron's lips curled into something between bitterness and awe. "Because the mere mention of his name is dangerous. To speak it is to invite memory, and memory is weight. Adam was not just a man… he was a storm, a question carved into existence itself."

Sunny leaned closer, his voice a whisper.

"Then remember this, Zayeron… Adam is coming."

The wind shifted across the empty grasslands, and for a heartbeat, it felt as though the stars above were listening.
