Leonard Richardson Litt died a few days after the surprise party. According to the reports, he suffered from a heart attack, and before he was taken to the hospital his shallow breathing had stopped completely, and there was nothing anyone could do to bring him back.
His two sons were informed of their father's demise, and they made their way to his mansion after a very long time. They had coincidentally arrived at the same time, and walked past each other recalling their grudge against each other, with neither of them willing to extend the hand of reconciliation first. They met their mother, now a shadow of herself, and did all they could to console her.
They didn't know what was missing in the house or understood the emptiness their mother felt. Their memory of the house was faint, and they could hardly remember what it was like to live in the mansion, and not hear or see their father come in.
