Idris left after a few minutes, and we headed back inside, Leonard and I. Well, Leonard did, I literally raced inside to unbox my present.
Idris' present was a big box of chocolates, and a gold necklace. Wow! I mean, how did Idris know that I am one big fan of chocolates? And the gold necklace, perfect, perfect.
"Isn't this a beauty?" I asked, pointing the necklace towards Leonard who couldn't stop grinning.
"Yeah," He said casually, forcing me to look more closely at him.
"What?" I asked. He shook his head to indicate that nothing was wrong but I was not buying it. And what was that look about him? Was it jealousy?
"You're not jealous, are you?" I asked, but he did not respond, not even a nod, a shake of the head or an eye roll.
"You are fucking jealous!" I exclaimed, pulling his arms but I stopped once I noticed how much he was looking at me with shock.
"No cussing, Mrs Litt." He said, and I couldn't tell if he was serious or up to one of his jokes.
