Annie lifted her tear-filled eyes and whispered, "Instructor Ivy… how can you be so sure? These are only words. How can you know for certain?"
Ivy was quiet for a moment. Her pen tapped the table once, twice, three times. Then she sighed.
"I expected you to ask me that. No one would believe a stranger just because she said she knows a prophet." She leaned back in her chair, her voice calm.
"But Annie, the truth is, I have seen the prophet's words come true five or six times already. Each time he spoke, he was right."
Annie's brows furrowed. "Five or six times?"
"Yes," Ivy said softly. "Do you remember Stephen? He almost lost his life. It was the prophet's warning that saved him."
Annie's eyes widened. "Are you talking about… General Stephen?"
Ivy gave a single nod. "Yes. General Stephen himself. He trusted the prophet's words, and that is why he is still alive today."
