"Third Hokage! Do you still say he has no connection to your Konoha?!" Ōnoki glared furiously at Hiruzen Sarutobi and shouted loudly.
Hearing Ōnoki's questioning, Hiruzen Sarutobi felt bitter and was at a loss for words. In truth, he was more shocked than anyone else.
Since Hashirama Senju's death, Konoha had conducted countless experiments, but not a single person could awaken the Wood Release kekkei genkai—not even those with Senju bloodline.
This led Hiruzen and other Konoha higher-ups to believe that Wood Release was caused by Hashirama's unique bloodline mutation and couldn't truly be considered a kekkei genkai since it lacked hereditary properties.
"Tsuchikage, now isn't the time to argue about this—we need to figure out how to stop him!" The Third Raikage used Hell Stab: One-Finger Nukite to cut through a tree branch coiling toward him and shouted loudly.
With Konoha suffering the most casualties, no one would believe Kai Mitarashi was from Konoha anymore.
"Do you think you can stop me?" Kai sneered.
The Five Kage's strength before Kai was like ants compared to an elephant. Forget stopping him—they couldn't even cause him the slightest trouble!
"Hmm? Something's happened at Shikkotsu Forest!"
Kai suddenly frowned deeply—not because of the Five Kage before him, but because the mental technique marking he'd placed on the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path had transmitted a slight fluctuation.
"I can't keep playing with you anymore," Kai said, his expression becoming slightly serious.
