Chapter 108 - Naruto: godly career system-Chapter 108: The Technique of the Eight-Headed Serpent

Kusanagi Sword: Void Blade!

The legendary Kusanagi Sword glimmered with a cold, lethal light as it curved in an eerie arc towards Kai's neck. However, Kai remained unflustered. With a sharp tilt of his head, the blade narrowly missed, slicing cleanly through a lock of his hair.

With a powerful leap, Kai distanced himself from the sword's range. His entire presence surged with an overwhelming aura.

Sage Mode!

Without a moment's hesitation, Kai activated Sage Mode.

Sage Art: Wind Release: Rasenshuriken!

Divine Descent!

The perfect synergy between the two techniques far surpassed the combination of the Rasengan and Flying Thunder God Technique once mastered by Minato.

The Sage Art Rasenshuriken in Kai's hand struck the massive body of the White-Scaled Serpent with devastating force. The pinnacle of wind-nature chakra transformation, the Rasenshuriken's destructive power made it the strongest of all Wind Release techniques.

The explosion from the Rasenshuriken tore the White-Scaled Serpent's body in two, shredding nearly a third of its mass into bloody fragments. Yet, the shredded flesh of the serpent began to wriggle, each fragment transforming into a swarm of small white snakes. They swarmed toward the severed sections of the serpent's body, gradually regenerating it to its original form.

"Hahaha! The White-Scaled Body cannot be destroyed—it is the very symbol of immortality!" Orochimaru laughed maniacally, clearly proud of his so-called invincible form.

"Hmph! No matter how large the serpent, it's still just a snake. Before a dragon, even you must coil and submit!" Kai retorted coldly.

Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique!

Massive wooden dragons erupted from the ground, lunging at the White-Scaled Serpent with ferocious bites. The Wood Dragons, with their chakra-absorbing properties, were nearly impossible to dispel unless destroyed instantly with overwhelming force.

The White-Scaled Serpent was soon entangled in a fierce struggle against the Wood Dragons. Even with the aid of the Kusanagi Sword, the serpent found itself overwhelmed by the relentless assault of multiple dragons.

In no time, the serpent's body was riddled with wounds. Though it could regenerate, each recovery consumed a significant amount of chakra. And Orochimaru, lacking the Sage Body or the power of a Jinchuriki, could not afford such wasteful expenditure of chakra.

"Damn it! I have no choice but to use that technique!" Orochimaru growled in frustration. He glared at Kai and roared, "Mitarashi brat, let me show you my ultimate jutsu!"

The White-Scaled Serpent's body began to swell to several times its original size. Massive snake heads forced their way out of its body, growing larger and larger. Within seconds, the serpent had transformed into a colossal, eight-headed monstrosity.

Eight-Headed Serpent Technique!

Orochimaru had now become a gargantuan serpent with eight heads, each hissing and flicking its forked tongue menacingly.

The central head, larger and more imposing than the rest, spoke with a human voice that echoed ominously: "In this form, the Eight-Headed Serpent, I am more powerful than even the Tailed Beasts!"

Nearby, Kimimaro, witnessing Orochimaru's transformation, wasted no time. He grabbed the stunned Haku and began to retreat.

"Kimimaro, what are you doing? Lord Orochimaru is still there!" Haku cried out in alarm.

Without looking back, Kimimaro replied, "I told you, my duty is to protect both Lord Orochimaru and you. Right now, I lack the strength to protect Lord Orochimaru, but I can still protect you."

After a brief pause, he added resolutely, "And one day, I will catch up to Lord Orochimaru's footsteps!" His trembling body betrayed the turmoil within his heart.

Meanwhile, in the distant Mist Village, Mei Terumi was buried in a mountain of administrative work. Having exposed the conspiracy behind the Fourth Mizukage's mind control and with the Fourth now comatose, the village's jonin had temporarily appointed Mei as the acting Mizukage to handle the village's affairs.

Suddenly, a massive commotion outside the village caught her attention. From afar, she could see the enormous heads of the Eight-Headed Serpent thrashing in the air.

"What the…" Mei froze for a moment, and a certain familiar figure popped into her mind. Her face darkened as she muttered, "Don't tell me it's that guy causing trouble again?" Without hesitation, she abandoned her paperwork and dashed toward the outskirts of the village.

Facing the colossal Eight-Headed Serpent, Kai's expression grew more serious, though he remained calm. "Is that all? Merely comparable to a Tailed Beast?"

The serpent's heads twisted and writhed in fury at Kai's dismissive tone. The mocking indifference in his voice was a blatant insult. Enraged, the Eight-Headed Serpent launched its massive heads like cannonballs, slamming them into Kai's position one after another.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The entire forest trembled under the serpent's relentless assault. Trees snapped like twigs, and the ground quaked violently.

Even the newly relocated villagers of the Mist Village ran outside to witness the chaos. Fear and despair painted their faces as they gazed at the monstrous serpent in the distance.

"What is that creature?!"

"A snake demon! Have we angered the heavens? Is this divine punishment upon the Mist Village?"

"Gods above, please protect us!"

Having barely survived a near-catastrophic disaster, the villagers' spirits were already fragile. Now, faced with this new calamity, their despair deepened.

Sage Art: Wind Release: Rasenshuriken!

Kai conjured a Rasenshuriken in each hand and hurled them at the Eight-Headed Serpent!

The spinning shuriken tore through the air, slamming into two of the serpent's heads. The heads exploded into chunks of flesh, but moments later, they began to regenerate, slowly growing back to their original form.

Kai frowned as he watched the regenerated heads. Clearly, the Eight-Headed Serpent's regenerative abilities were proving to be a headache.

The serpent, now fully restored, roared in rage. Opening its massive jaws, it unleashed a foul-smelling, grayish-black mist that spread across the forest. The few remaining trees in the area withered and turned yellow under the mist's corrosive effect, losing all signs of life.

Damn it!

Kai's heart sank as he realized he had inhaled some of the toxic mist. He could feel his internal organs beginning to sustain damage at varying degrees.
