The female "evil spirit" swallowed the snack in her mouth, turned her head, and said to him, "It was you who asked me if I minded or not, and I also said I didn't mind."
"I was just being polite." Aiden rolled his eyes.
"Tch, you humans just love doing that, so fake."
That's what she said, but the female "evil spirit's" hands and mouth never stopped, just in the time she spoke, one-third of the snacks on the plate were already gone.
"You humans?" Hearing the female "evil spirit's" words, Aiden froze for a moment.
He started to size up the woman in front of him again. What she said gave him the illusion that foreign ghosts had shadows.
"Are you really a ghost? That so-called evil spirit?" Aiden continued asking, his face full of doubt.
This time it was the woman's turn to look confused.
"Those two little girls from the Kagura family didn't tell you who I am?"
"Chizuru just told me there's a scary-looking evil spirit in the mountain behind the shrine…" Aiden exaggerated on purpose.
The woman, "..."
Taking a deep breath, she still felt like a vein was about to pop on her forehead.
"You think I look scary and evil?" the woman asked through clenched teeth.
Aiden didn't answer right away. His gaze just fell on the woman's chest. The bright lights let him see more clearly than before, that pair of softness looked even bigger than Mai Shiranui's, the wide and luxurious kimono couldn't cover them at all, and the third exposed part alone was enough to make most women jealous.
"You don't look scary, but you do look very evil, and a big evil at that." Aiden muttered.
The woman didn't understand the reference, but following Aiden's gaze, she looked down and immediately understood what he was pointing at.
She proudly puffed out her chest at once, "That's right, I am that evil spirit, the super evil kind."
"So you really are a ghost?" Aiden pulled his gaze back and asked curiously.
"What do you think?" the woman shot back, while continuing to stuff snacks into her mouth.
"I'm the one asking you, okay, Miss Super Evil." Aiden couldn't help rolling his eyes again, then thoughtfully added, "But since you can eat food, you shouldn't be a ghost. So what the heck are you then?"
"I'm not… you're insulting me." The woman had just started to reply when she realized the words he used to describe her weren't right. Annoyed, she grabbed a snack and threw it at him.
Aiden caught the snack easily, tossed it into his mouth, and said while chewing, "So what the hell are you then?"
"Hey, hey, hey! You might as well just call me a 'thing'! Ptooey, ptooey, I'm not a 'thing'… damn it, do you even know how to describe a woman properly?" The woman shot him a glare, but with her already alluring looks and those soul-capturing eyes, her glare looked more like a seductive glance, making Aiden enjoy it even more.
After enjoying that moment, Aiden continued asking, "So what are you really?"
"You really want to know?" Having lived so long, the woman came out of her anger in an instant. The corners of her mouth curved up slightly, and with a tempting tone she asked.
Next, as soon as Aiden nodded, she planned to add, 'Beg me and I'll tell you.'
But Aiden didn't play along at all, or maybe he saw right through her, he shook his head, walked over to the wardrobe, grabbed a change of clothes, and said while moving, "Actually, I don't want to know. Mm, I'll just think of you as that scary-looking evil spirit Chizuru mentioned."
"Just keep the 'evil,' don't add the 'scary,' okay?" The woman accepted it easily. After hearing that the 'evil' Aiden meant was describing her figure, she felt very satisfied.
"Alright then, Miss Evil Spirit, I'm going to take a shower. When you're done eating, remember to put the plate back. Tomorrow I'll have the maid restock it." Aiden waved at her and started walking toward the door.
But instead, the woman, flustered and stuck between laughing and annoyed by Aiden, suddenly couldn't hold back. Hugging the plate, her figure flickered, and she blocked Aiden's way.
"You must know." She hugged the plate in one arm, put her other hand on her hip, and glared fiercely at him.
"Sorry, I suddenly don't want to know anymore." Aiden glanced at her, stepped aside, and was about to go around her.
But just then, a pair of black wings suddenly spread wide behind the woman, blocking all of his escape routes.
Seeing this scene, even if she hadn't told him who she was, Aiden recognized her immediately.
Well, here was another frequent guest of XX.
The Female Tengu.
[T/N: this new female character is from Dead or Alive. Her name is 'Nyotengu' but she's also known as 'The Female Tengu' and 'The Naughty Tengu Princess']
If Tifa was Jerusalem, and Mai Shiranui could be called Constantinople, then Nyotengu was at least on the level of Santiago. All holy places…
But it was only now that Nyotengu revealed her wings. Otherwise, Aiden really wouldn't have recognized her true identity.
After all, Nyotengu before him was slightly different from the one in the game, for example, that iconic hime-cut hairstyle was gone, replaced by waist-length hair that even with a wooden hairpin couldn't be fully tied up.
Of course, her explosive figure was proof enough of her identity. But in fighting games, there were just too many female fighters with amazing bodies, even Mai Shiranui wouldn't dare to claim a stable top five spot. So even after running into her several times, Aiden hadn't recognized her.
For a moment, Aiden's thoughts were all over the place.
"What, scared?"
Looking at the dazed man in front of her, Nyotengu waved her hand in front of his eyes, frowning. She wondered if maybe she should have warned him.
After all… although she was beautiful and had a dangerously 'evil' body, a woman with wings was either an angel or a monster.
Since she was born in Japan, she definitely wasn't an angel, so in the eyes of others, her identity leaned toward a monster.
But even as a monster, she was a beautiful monster. And one that possessed a very, very big 'evil.'
Nyotengu thought to herself. She really loved that word, evil.
With her hand waving in front of him, Aiden snapped back to reality. He looked at the tall, long-legged woman in front of him and asked, "What did you just say?"
"I said, did I scare you?" Nyotengu flapped her wings a few times, a bit cautiously, and asked again.
"As if. What haven't I seen before?" Aiden curled his lips disdainfully, then curiously reached out to touch Nyotengu's wings.
"Hey hey hey, don't touch randomly, they're very sensitive." Nyotengu was startled and quickly folded her wings back.
Aiden had no choice but to retract his half-extended hand and muttered, "So stingy. I even treated you to snacks, and you won't even let me touch once."
"How is that the same?" Nyotengu gave him a side-eye, "These are basically part of my body. How could you just do that?"
"Yeah, so how could you do it? Back when you were peeking at me while I was asleep, you didn't seem to have any problem with it." Aiden shot her a sidelong glance and countered.
"Uh… that…" Nyotengu's face turned red, and she couldn't say a word.
Seeing this thousand-year-old "old monster" blush, Aiden pressed further, "What, no comeback? Come on, say it. How could you?"
What could Nyotengu say? After a dazed pause, she whispered, "Then… you can only touch once."
She spread her wings in front of Aiden again.
Only, Aiden acted uninterested, waved his hand, and said, "I suddenly don't feel like touching anymore. Put them away."
"How can you be like this…" Nyotengu widened her eyes. She had lived for so many years, and now she was actually being toyed with by a "kid."
"That's just how I like to be." Aiden continued giving her a sidelong look, half-smiling as he said, "Unless you beg me. Otherwise, hurry up and move. I want to take a shower."
"I'll never beg you."
"Then move."
"No."
"Look at your age, don't act like a child."
"If you don't touch me, then I'll act like a child."
"..."
"You win." Aiden sighed, "This was your idea."
Saying that, he reached out and touched Nyotengu's wing.
The feel was very nice, the best velvet probably wasn't as soft as the feathers on her wings. But Aiden only brushed it lightly before pulling his hand back.
"Alright, I've touched you already. Now can you move, Miss Evil with wings?" Aiden said.
But Nyotengu unhappily said, "Hey, you just brushed it once, you didn't feel anything, right?"
In fact, when Aiden touched her wing, she almost couldn't help but shiver.
"Didn't you say your wings are very sensitive? What if I break something by touching too much?"
"I feel like you're hinting at something. I've lived for so many years, I'm not some clueless young girl."
"Good, as long as you know, an old girl with wings and lots of evil."
"Hey! Don't go making up nicknames for me! And so long too! I have a name, it's Nyotengu." Nyotengu shouted unhappily.
But very quickly she realized she'd lost her composure, so after taking a deep breath, she softened her tone and said, "You may call me Nyotengu."
"Can you go back to how you were before? Like this, I can't take it." Aiden shivered; strangely, he wasn't used to it.
Nyotengu was displeased again, "This is my original personality, okay? Only because of you did I lose my composure like that."
Although Nyotengu belonged to the category of yokai in ancient Japan, later she was worshipped as a mountain god. Plus, after living in Japan for a thousand years, her true nature leaned more toward that of a traditional Japanese woman.
