The moment was instantly shattered with an ear-splitting noise that erupted from the ceiling, sharp and relentless, causing Elena to jerk up. The men followed as well, eyes sharp as night. They first turned to face Elena to check if she was okay then they finally noticed her arousal that had filled the air.
The brothers looked past Elena as they looked at each other suspiciously, their eyes dark and intense as they silently wondered if the other had done something with Elena or if she was simply turned on from sleeping beside them.
"What is this sound?" Elena asked, covering her hands with her ears.
"It's the damn fire alarm." Killian groaned.
"Fire?" Elena was shocked.
"Yes…I'm sure it's being taken care of now." Killian uttered, and almost immediately, the piercing sound got turned off.
"Find who started this fire and kill…" King Killian glanced at Elena, sighed, and then continued. "Punish the person." He mindlinked one of the warriors.
