After returning to their room, Merina didn't stay long. She said goodbye and left, heading back to the temple. She was still in shock, unsure of what exactly had happened.
She had thought those two young men were going to be executed, and guilt weighed heavily on her. But nothing went the way she expected, the Grand Priest even allowed them to join the temple.
Her worldview had been shattered twice in one day, and she needed some time to rest.
Meanwhile, after she left, Drael jumped onto the bed and leaned back against the wall as if he wasn't even on the third floor.
"Has your second phase started?" Daniel looked at him and asked calmly.
"Yeah. What about you?"
"What's your second phase?" Daniel didn't answer his question and instead asked back.
Drael wanted to tease him a little, but when he saw Daniel's cold, serious face, he froze and abandoned the idea.
