The night was complete. The moon shone above the trembling canyon, and its cold light slid over the black rocks like silver blades.
There was no sound except for the calm breaths of Daniel and Drael. Even the mist seemed to be waiting.
Both of them slowly stood up and first looked at the sea before them. The powerful waves were still there, and their deep rumble sent chills down their spines.
Then Daniel turned his gaze toward the moon, checking if he could draw enough of its power for what he was about to do.
With his current understanding of the Law of the Moon, there shouldn't have been any problems with his plan. But still, for some reason, he felt a bad omen deep in his chest.
Normally, if he was alone, he could easily break the restriction and escape the canyon in seconds.
But since he had to bring Drael with him, the difficulty was several times higher. He wasn't even sure if he could make it.
