The sand's still warm beneath me when my phone buzzes in Felix's jacket pocket. I fumble it out, squinting at the screen. It's a video call from Julia.
I groan, showing Felix the screen. He raises an eyebrow, amused.
"Answer it," he teases. "Let her see what a bad influence I am."
I swipe to accept, and Julia's face pops up, blurry and backlit by the glow of her bedroom fairy lights. Her hair's in a messy bun, eyes wide with the exact level of chaos I expected.
"DID YOU DO IT?" she blurts before I even say hello. "Oh my God. Did you have sex?! Where are you?! In some forest? No! Don't do sex outside for your first time!"
I almost choke on my own breath. "What—?! JULIAAA!"
Felix laughs beside me.
"Seriously, look at you!" she accuses, eyes narrowing. "I start to regretting my decision to let you wear my sexy dress. I knew it. I knew it!"
I cover the camera with my hand for a second and mutter to Felix, "She's insane, FYI."
