Chapter 18 - Burning

Neutral POV

It had been 5 days since the encounter between Shirou and Rin in the mansion, since then, Shirou has been taking a break from school, even hypnotizing his caretaker Taiga to not question him. He has also distanced himself from Sakura and laid on the magic circle in the shed, where the ambient mana fueled Avalon into healing his burnt arm. Avalon's power was growing stronger as the time for Artoria to be summoned grew closer so the burns took 4 days and showed no signs of scars after healing.

While he lay there, Shirou was constantly going over the pros and cons over helping Sakura, the conclusion he came to was that, even though he may have received the memories of her, he had grown to care for her in his own way, and he would rather save her so Heaven's Feel has no chance of happening. With that, he finally got up from the cool ground and placed on his vigilante uniform, altering his look to that of the Steel-eyed Ravens with a few changes.

Black chest armor with lines of gold, his long jacket had been replaced with a biker jacket made with a combination of Kevlar, UHMWPE, Ceramic Plates, Steel (AR500), Carbon Nanotubes, leather, and Graphene. The jacket is covered with lines in the color of molten gold that run down the pants.

The pants are made with the same materials as the jacket with the shoes and greaves made from Graphene and leather, and the pants are the color of the blackest void. Shirou performed maintenance on his dual revolvers, custom-made to fire .950 JDJ and looking like Emiya Alters guns without the blades, before holstering them and primed UBW, ready to pull the trigger and fire his projections.

The reason he was getting so heavily ready is because he was going to meet the one person he desperately wanted to avoid in the godforsaken city called Fuyuki. The man he was meeting would one day become the apostle of the Alien God in a different timeline and be forsaken by it just as he was in Heaven's Feel by Angra Mainyu. Just before Shirou left, he waited for the telltale sign of Sakura coming in to check on him, and when she did, he quickly knocked her out, grabbed her, and ran.

In no time, he made it to the church, scanning his surroundings, watching for any sign of Gilgamesh or a pursuer. He found none and silently dropped in front of the entrance, entering just as the sun shined its last rays for the day. When Shirou entered, he found Father Kotomine sitting in a pew, almost like he expected Shirou to arrive, Kotomine turned and chuckled.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Fuyuki's resident vigilante, the Steel-eyed Raven. What business do you have for a most humble priest such as I?"

"Don't bullshit yourself Kotomine, there is nothing humble about you, you're just a sad wreck who can only feel anything when others feel pain." Shirou responded with heat, he knew from the anime how much of a bitch this guy was.

Kotomine frowned, "Now, now, that is no way to talk to someone you specifically came to ask for help, the help I assume is for Sakura Matou? Oh what a pitiful figure she is."

Shirou looked resigned, "Unfortunately, you're the only person I can count on to help her, tried to reason with that Tohsaka girl, but she was too stubborn to even consider it."

A smile crept on Kotomine's face, "So you must be the reason why I've been getting hounded by Rin, she keeps calling me to tell me about the mess you left her house in. The despair on her face when she learned how much it would cost to repair it all in secrecy was simply delicious."

Shirou smirked, "You can count on that as an advanced payment for treating Sakura of her affliction."

Kotomine huffed, amused, "Unfortunately for you, you will have to do more than just that to have me help you, Raven."

Shirou's smirk only widens, "You thrive on the pain of others, how would you like to be the direct cause of Zouken Matou's suffering? To watch as the arrogance falls from his face and despair takes over as he realizes that the escape he hoped for in Sakura is all for naught."

Kotomine reacts to Shirou's words like a gunshot to the heart, his cold unfeeling body reacting with sick joy in imagining the despair on Zouken Matou's face. Just thinking about the arrogance slipping from Zouken's face made Kotomine horny, and he moaned as an erection formed in his pants, straining them with his 10 inches, big enough to cause women pain and make him horny.

Shirou reacted with a look of disgust and started second guessing himself about asking for Kotomine's help, but a more realistic part scolded him and schooled his expression, waiting for Kotomine to calm down. Thankfully for everyone there, Kotomine calmed down a smidge and requested he be handed Sakura so he may relieve his urges. Shirou easily complied as Sakura was most likely used to being violated, what would be one last time before freedom.

After an hour, Sakura was returned to Shirou, "I healed her and removed the crest worms from her body, though I had to sacrifice a majority of my command spells to do so."

Shirou received Sakura and feigned ignorance, "What are command spells? The way you speak of them makes it sound very important."

Kotomine chuckles, "Don't worry, compared to Zouken Matou's face, this is nothing. Now, let's hash out the details."

The next day

Shirou woke up and suited up, he walked to the shopping district and hailed a taxi, the destination was Yufuin Camp in Yufu City. There was a military installation located there called the 8th Anti-Ship Missile Regiment, it had surface-to-ship missile systems he could use to level the Matou mansion, which would be Kotomine's cue to discombobulate Zouken Matou's soul. Shirou arrived 1 kilometre away from the base, paid the driver, and hypnotised him to forget about the drive to the camp.

Shirou travelled the rest of the way to the base where he quickly infiltrated the camp and hypnotised everyone he passed to remove himself from their memory. The hypnotization consumed a part of his Od pool but not enough to affect him, especially since he hasn't gone all out.

After gaining directions, Shirou reached an Anti-Ship missile silo where he structurally grasped the controls and absorbed the information on how to operate the machine. The information felt like an overload and so much information he didn't know passed through his head, but what he did recognize was enough to operate in the most basic manner.

Shirou then went on to launch the missile, which got the attention of the people around him who attempted to stop him, but he quickly blitzed them and knocked them unconscious, though not for long since he could hear more soldiers coming. Understanding the time crunch he's under, Shirou quickly sets a course for the Matou mansion by triangulating the angles and the amount of thrust needed to reach the mansion in time before being stopped.

Just as Shirou finished, more Japanese soldiers entered and pointed their guns at him, ready to fire, until the order was given. They questioned him, "Who are you?!"

Shirou cooly responds, "You know who I am. You know what I do."

The soldiers think for a moment until one of them exclaims in surprise, "That's the Steel-eyed Raven!" The rest of the soldiers react in shock, and some display fear as they stand in front of the Boogeyman of the underworld.

Shirou recognized the fear and released his bloodlust, paralyzing the soldiers further and even causing a few of them to faint from the pressure. The reason these soldiers have fainted is because they're rookies, soldiers that have not tasted war and the unreal pressure it places on the psyche.

Shirou kept his eyes on the monitor, watching for the moment the missile impacted the mansion, when suddenly one of those soldiers fired his rifle at Shirou who casually reinforced his hand and caught the bullet. The soldiers watched tensely as Shirou released dust from his hands and it was scattered to the wind from his aura. His aura was so immense that no one else made a move and the missile itself, feeling the aura boosted even faster towards the Matou Mansion where it finally landed and annihilated the mansion from this Earth.

The blast affected a radius of 100 meters, the shockwave shattering the house windows within the area, cracking and even shattering walls, while also spreading fire to the surrounding areas, lighting them on fire, collapsing power lines, and even destroying any vehicles in the area. Anyone in the center of it would've been eviscerated, which means that rapist fuck Shinji died, faster than he deserved, but dead all the same.

The worm pit was gone, and luckily for Kotomine, Zouken survived and was currently facing Kotomine himself, the promised reaction being more than enough for him. The pain and misery from the explosion only adds to the pleasure he feels and will continue to feed him until the Grail War begins.

While that was happening, Shirou moved away, startling the soldiers into action who started to open fire on him. Shirou, like the absolute Chad he was, only walked and the sheer aura from such an act caused the bullets to go around him and some to just miss wildly. Shirou continued his walk through the military base until he reached the entrance, where countless soldiers waited for him. In a moment of inspiration Shirou took a different route and waited, watching, in perfect position for his reveal, knowing this would immortalize him.

The soldiers outside were confused, it had been 10 minutes since the alarm rang and they still had not seen the Steel-eyed Raven just yet. Suddenly, a soldier on a tower spotted movement on the roof of the base, shouting for everyone to place their attention on the location.

Guns aimed and officers prepared to order a full salvo of fire on the figure, when suddenly, a wind started to pick up, and a previously unnoticed black cape covered the figure. Those who had seen Dragon Ball seemed to recognize what was taking place, but even they were surprised when the clouds darkened and the winds picked up even further.

Strangely enough, the soldiers started hearing metal music all around them, they did not consciously react to it, but the sheer aura coming from the figure gave way to sound in the back of their minds. Like the planet itself was on the figure's side, lightning fell and rain started, illuminating the figure to the soldiers, as they bore witness to a demon in a man's flesh.

Molten gold for eyes, ash-grey hair, and an even darker skin-tone, all come together to paint a terrifying picture, only added by the freakstorm occurring around the figure. With fear in their voices, the CO's commanded the soldiers to open fire, when right in front of their eyes, the demon disappeared and reappeared in front of the CO's.

In one swift movement, they were taken care of and simultaneously held hostage, leaving no course of action for the soldiers to take, not without risking their superiors' lives. The figure did not even acknowledge them, just continued to carry them all by hand as he made his way to the exit. None opposed him, not even as he crossed the boundary separating Military from Civilian territory.

The storm continued to rage on and the music in their minds reached an ever higher pitch as the figure walked, until he disappeared from view. Shirou would not know until much later what the ramifications of this act would cause and just how badly things would turn out globally. For now he just enjoyed himself as the legend of the Raven was added to and changed forever.
