Haruto and Kanna couldn't move. Not even to lift their arms.

Even turning their heads to each other took effort.

But, their eyes finally met.

They didn't need words.

In that one glance—they both understood, and exchanged a small nod.

Then, through weak and trembling breaths:

"Madou…" Haruto whispered first.

"Ma… dou…" Kanna followed, her voice cracking from pain and exhaustion.

They gathered the last sliver of strength within their battered bodies:

"TRANSCEND..!!"

They shouted the word together.

This was their final act.

A desperate cry that carried everything they had left.

Whatever happens next... so be it.

As their voices faded, their bodies went limp, collapsing completely.

They lay there, motionless. Barely breathing.

Inside The Conference Room 2nd Floor

On AED's translucent screen, Haruto and Kanna's status was dire:

Luna declared, urging everyone in the room to stay calm,

"We must believe in them. Listen, THEY HAVEN'T LOST YET..!"

And then Luna spoke again, her voice filled with quiet certainty:

"Because… in their most critical moments... everything would be decided."

All eyes in the room now turned to several monitors from multiple drone feed cameras. They tried to believe that… there is still hope.

Across Tokyo and Surrounding

The entire city, which once stood on the edge of triumph, was now paralyzed in a unified dread.

Live newsfeeds and live internet streams broadcasted across homes, smartphones, train stations, offices, hospitals, shopping centers, and streets—showed the battle in real time.

The flame-wielding young woman, pierced again and again by the monster's spear-like tentacles as she fought desperately in midair.

When the young man on the screen caught her in midair, just seconds before she was devoured by the monster's gaping mouth, a collective shout erupted across the city.

Cheers broke out—but were immediately silenced as the monster stomped them both from the sky. The young man's body smashed, stabbed, hurled across the battlefield like a broken doll.

The brief moment of relief shattered instantly.

As the giant boss monster regenerated, regrew, and stood tall once again, an eerie silence descended upon the city, their eyes wide in horror.

When they saw the dying young man lying broken on the ground…

When the screen revealed the young woman lying limp, bloodied and torn just meters away from him…

Gasps erupted across Tokyo like a wave of heartbreak.

Countless women covered their mouths, eyes glistening with tears. College students shocked, unable to look away at their campus monitors. Office workers sat frozen at their lunch break.

Some refused to believe what they just saw. Others fell to their knees, crushed by the emotional whiplash.

"They are fighting alone out there..." said a woman in her thirties, voice breaking. "And we don't even know their names…"

"Those two... they fought like nothing I've ever seen." said a college student, tears streaming down his cheeks. "Even boss fights in video games don't go this hard…"

An elderly woman held her prayer beads tightly in both hands, whispering prayers to the heavens, "Please… protect them. Grant them strength…"

This was no longer just about a monster or a battle.

This was about two nameless strangers who rose to defend their city—heroes whose identities no one knew, but whose pain everyone now felt.

As Tokyo watched them both collapse, bloodied and dying, against the backdrop of a regenerating monster—the atmosphere thickened with unbearable tension.

And in that moment—Tokyo was not silent.

Starting from a whisper in the crowd, and a soft chant.

From a few… to hundreds… to thousands.

People pressed their hands to their hearts. Others raised fists to the sky. Some simply stared at the screens with tears streaming down.

It didn't take long before thousands of voices began to shouted toward the screens:

"FIGHT BACK!!"

"DON'T GIVE UP!!"

"WE'RE WITH YOU, TOKYO HEROES!!"

Then came the roar. Thousands became millions.

People cried. People prayed. People screamed.

From every corner of the city, their cries exploded:

"STAND UP!!"

"GET UP!!"

"DON'T DIE!!"

"WE BELIEVE IN YOU!!"

"FIGHT, TOKYO HEROES!!"

"KAMI-SAMA, PLEASE HELP THEM!!"

Their voices reached the skies.

To whatever gods might exist.

To whatever force who could hear them.

Because…

Tokyo refused to let them fall.

As if the heavens had heard them…

Their hopes… were granted.

Main Parking Lot

Glowing blue mystic circles slowly began to form beneath both Haruto and Kanna, who still lay motionless on the ground—their conditions teetering on the edge of death.

From each circle, a radiant azure light surged upward. It didn't rise in narrow, focused beams—but instead expanded outward in a vast, radial bloom. The light flowed in every direction, forming a sacred, circular aura that pulsed with divine intensity—as if warding off the presence of death itself, denying the reaper who had come to claim their souls.

A soft, otherworldly strange hum began to resonate from within the light—carrying with it a haunting celestial melody, like a forgotten divine hymn.

Morthamraga, who had been crawling toward the two fallen warriors with arrogant dominance, suddenly halted, as if sensing a rising threat. The growing surge of mystic power from both of them made even this monstrous Chaos Beast Boss hesitated to move forward.

Moments later, the ground beneath the parking lot began to tremble—low, subtle at first—then gradually intensifying. It was as if the earth itself could no longer withstand the violent pressure rising from them.

Without warning, an invisible current of energy lifted Haruto gently from the ground. His body hovered a few inches above the shattered concrete, his tattered clothes swaying in the air. As if held and realigned by unseen hands, his once-limp frame was now rising, slowly pulled into an upright position.

A few meters to his right, Kanna's body followed. Her broken and bloodied form drifted upward in perfect synchrony, suspended by the same invisible force. Her torn clothes fluttered as her body lifted and stood straight in the air

**

Haruto's Transformation

The transformation overtook Haruto's body like a tidal wave.

It began with his short, messy black hair. From the roots outward, the color shifted into a deep, gleaming blue—like crystallized sapphire under moonlight. Each strand lengthened rapidly, flowing past his ears and stopping just at his shoulders. Yet none of it fell limp. His hair floated softly, as if suspended in water, untouched by gravity or wind.

Then came the change in his body.

Once lean and unassuming, his physique suddenly surged with definition. His torso broadened, his arms thickened with muscle. The sudden burst of mass tore apart the sleeves of his dark blue shirt around the biceps, splitting the fabric like paper. The tattered remains of his outfit flared wildly in the swirling vortex of energy around him.

The air itself crackled and distorted—charged by a force that bent the atmosphere in his presence.

His eyes opened—now glowing with an unnatural sky-blue light, each iris pulsing faintly, rhythmically, with divine intensity. Even his eyebrows shifted color, adopting the same bright blue hue, their sharper shape enhancing the power of his gaze.

Then the markings began to spread.

What was once a simple symbol etched on his forearm now expanded—twisting, spiraling, growing along his upper arm and creeping up toward his neck. The marks formed into a glowing violet abstraction of a dragon, intertwined with cryptic runes—as if etched by invisible hands.

This change... it's as if something otherworldly has entered my body and fused with me... yet it feels so peaceful... so warm. The pain, the exhaustion… they're just gone.

What is this power..?.. Haruto thought, overwhelmed by the sensation.

Yet even in this transcendent state, his injuries remained.

The broken bones did not realign. The torn flesh did not mend. His Wielder Condition stayed exactly the same. Only the bleeding had stopped—for now—and all the pain, all the exhaustion, had been silenced.

His entire body, down to every organ and shattered bone, was being upheld by a power beyond human comprehension—keeping him functional, but not healed.

Then, from somewhere in the battlefield, his weapon stirred.

The scythe, his Sacred Madougu, which had been flung far across the battlefield when he crashed earlier, suddenly trembled in the distance. It lifted from the ground and shot through the air like a meteor, drawn to its rightful wielder, racing back to Haruto.

Haruto caught it with his right hand.

The moment he gripped it, the weapon began to change.

The main blade extended—longer, sharper, more menacing—sprouting secondary edges at brutal angles. The shaft grew longer as well, reshaping the weapon into a massive, overwhelming form. Its signature violet hue now interlaced with streaks of thick black shadows, merging into a design that exuded death and dominance.

Dark purple energy crackled along the edges, while arcs of pale blue light—mirroring Haruto's new form—danced and hissed across the blade.

Haruto Mori now looked like a reaper god—wielding the power of a divine dragon.

With his breath steady, his soul calm, and his body glowing with radiant defiance…

Haruto closed his eyes for just a few moments.

Kanna's Transformation

Kanna, too, began to change—hovering several inches above the ground, her transformation echoing Haruto's, yet uniquely her own.

The orange ribbon holding her ponytail came undone. Her waist-length hair, once jet black, began to fade—shifting into a luminous electric blue, glowing with the same divine brilliance as a sapphire caught in light, that now radiated from Haruto. Her hair fanned out behind her in all directions, as if drifting underwater, untouched by wind or gravity.

Then, her eyes changed.

Her irises gleamed with an intense sapphire glow, giving her the gaze of a goddess awakened. Her eyebrows followed suit, turning the same vivid blue, sharpening her expression with ethereal elegance.

Her body, too, was transformed.

Her physique became subtly more toned—every limb gaining refined definition, especially her legs, which grew fuller, more powerful, yet gracefully sculpted with a feminine allure. Her thighs pulsed with newfound vigor. Even her hips and chest expanded slightly, the transformation enhancing her feminine features beyond ordinary human proportions.

Her torn clothing clung tighter to her reshaped figure.

The symbol tattoos on the outer sides of her thighs began to writhe and expand, morphing into abstract red phoenix wings—burning with ancient beauty. Intricate rune markings followed, climbing along her hips and tracing up toward her waist, visible now through the shredded remains of her outfit around her stomach and sides.

Then came the boots.

Once merely special flame-empowered footwear, her Fiery Boots transformed—becoming something far more dangerous. The boots mutated into a sleek, deadly design—reinforced with sharp, spiked ridges that pulsed with deep crimson heat.

The familiar orange flames were gone, replaced by roaring scarlet-red fire, wild and violent. The red energy flaring outward with every motion of her feet. Her presence now radiated raw, merciless power.

This warmth.. she thought, her heart racing.

It's the same feeling... from that place beneath my consciousness. Onee-sama… is that you? Are we... merging? Am I becoming one with you now?..

Kanna's thoughts raced—grappling with the serene warmth, the gentle power flooding through her being. It felt as though she had fused with something greater… perhaps the orange light she once called Onee-sama had now become a part of her.

She closed her eyes briefly, embracing the warmth and peace in her heart.

But like Haruto, none of her injuries had healed. The stab wounds, the internal bleeding, the damage to her organs—all remained. Her Wielder Condition did not recover. And yet, every cell in her body was now functioning properly, as if being held together, sustained by an incomprehensible power that defied every law of biology.

She now hovered like a celestial warrior—

A Valkyrie reborn, carrying the divine power of the Phoenix.

**

Both Haruto and Kanna were now enveloped by colossal mystic flares of brilliant blue. The energy poured upward from their bodies like twin pillars of fire. An intense buzzing noise, like charged silence before a violent thunderstorm, filled the lot.

Whirling gusts of wind screamed around them, like a furious tempest swirling in a narrow arena. Random arcs of electric-blue lightning crackled violently around them.

Even the battered concrete stones and ground beneath their feet began to fissure, trembling under the weight of a power it could scarcely withstand.

Morthamraga hissed and reeled back further, The combined aura of these two transcendent wielders triggered a localized tremor that rattled the windows of nearby buildings and dragged parked vehicles away.

Their new forms were savage and divine all at once.

Their mystic power amplified many times over.

**

As the transcendence process completed, the blue mystic flares—the glowing fires of divine light—and the glowing circles beneath them slowly faded. The violent winds dissipated. The humming pressure in the air began to ease. The shaking ground stilled.

Haruto descended slowly, landing softly on the fractured parking lot.

Kanna, by contrast, remained floating—hovering with effortless grace a few inches above the ground.

Their hair floated gently behind and beside them in slow motion, gently waving like silk underwater, unaffected by gravity and wind. The sight alone felt sacred—otherworldly.

Then… their eyes slowly opened.

What emerged... was a piercing sky-blue glow—serene, divine, and deeply unnerving. The moment both sets of eyes were fully open, the atmosphere instantly changed.

BHHUUUFFFTTT..!

A crushing weight filled the air like a shockwave, spread in every direction.

**

Lobby and Hallsways

Inside the university building, everyone—civilians, police, military personnel—froze in place as the pressure descended like a divine hammer.

"GASP..!!"

The sheer force of their spiritual presence pushed down on them with unbearable weight—like standing in front of sky gods whose very existence demanded submission.

Several people dropped to their knees. Others crouched, or clung to walls. A few even flattened themselves to the floor, overwhelmed by instinctual fear. Some even collapsed entirely.

They weren't looking at humans anymore.

They were staring at something else entirely.

"Their presence is overwhelming… my heart's racing… I can't breathe…"

"Is this… possession? Have they been overtaken by demons?"

"No… they look like gods and goddesses descended from the heavens…"

Aya Shina, Tokyo TV's frontline reporter, clutched her microphone, trembling.

"Are they... reincarnations of gods?" she whispered, barely able to speak.

She staggered, unable to stand upright anymore. She dropped to one knee, bowing her head instinctively. Behind her, cameraman Kenji followed suit—but even while kneeling, his hands stayed locked on the camera, broadcasting the impossible scenes.

"Look! The boss monster… it's backing away! It's afraid! My God, their presence alone is pushing that monster back!!"

Suddenly, Kanna turned toward the building.

She clenched her fist—and raised her arm.

A wave of panic rippled through the lobby.

"Kyaaa..!!"

Some women screamed and dropped into a crouch, fearing that the airborne heroine might strike. Her otherworldly aura was so overwhelming that many genuinely believed she had become something uncontrollable.

But instead…

She gently waved… and smiling.

She was still human.

"Wait... did she just wave at us?"

"Was that... a smile?"

"She's not attacking?"

"She's not a monster… she's still one of us."

The perception shifted instantly. From divine fear to divine wonder.

A group of college students couldn't hold back their excitement:

"Bro! They look like... Super Saiyan Blue..!!"

"Their hair's floating and glowing blue! Their eyes too! This is next-level god mode!"

"It's like a divine transformation! Blue symbolizes divinity—calm, celestial power!"

"What are they, really..?"

Aya Shina sat in seiza, her knees trembling, voice shaking but determined as she continues speaking to millions watching across the nation:

"Dear Tokyo TV viewers… please forgive me for continuing this report while seated like this. I… I simply can't stand. The pressure is overwhelming. What we are witnessing right now is beyond anything we've ever seen… and I struggle to find the words."

"Both unknown heroes have undergone what I can only describe as… an ascended transformation. The atmosphere in this building has become... suffocating. It feels like standing before celestial beings. Everyone around us is frozen. Many are kneeling like me. Others couldn't even stay conscious. The tension… it's unbearable."

"Even that monstrous creature just stepped back. It recoiled. It knows it's no longer the dominant force here."

"Everyone around us was terrified just moments ago, but this young woman, she waved. Just now. She looked straight at us through the glass and smiled... Just a small smile, but... it changed everything."

"The fear in this room shifted. Like she was saying, 'It's okay. You're safe now.' "

Haruto turned his head slightly, blinking in mild confusion.

"What was that waving hand about, Kanna-chan?" Haruto asked, puzzled, glancing at her as she hovered gracefully a few inches off the ground.

Kanna let out a soft giggle, "It's fine. I could see how terrifying we looked to the people inside the building. Everyone looked like they were about to pass out. I just wanted to ease the tension a little… remind them we're not enemies. We're not monsters. We're still human."

Haruto blinked, then smirked slightly, "I see... maybe I should wave too then."

"Hush, no need." Kanna interrupted with a smirk, placing a hand lightly on his shoulder.

"Let's stay focused. Morthamraga looks like it just saw a demon."

She glanced at the beast and chuckled. "Which is ironic, since it's the one who looked like them."

Haruto chuckled a little.

"Alright then... let's test this Transcend power. I'm a bit worried I won't be able to control it." He adjusted his stance, sliding his right foot forward.

"Kanna-chan, let's start with a small test." he said, swinging his scythe and positioning it behind him.

"Yes Haruto-kun, I want to see what I can do while holding back a lot." Kanna ascended slightly higher into the air, crimson flames spiraling gently around her legs. "I'm ready when you are."

Ahead of them, Morthamraga flinched again, retreating several meters, clearly shaken. It could feel it—the crushing weight of Haruto and Kanna's combined divine pressure.

But it refused to be outdone.

With a disgusting, squelching sound, the creature opened a large, grotesque cavity in its chest. Inside—sacks of eggs, twitching, glowing. One by one, it hurled them to the ground.

One. Two. Three.

All the way to fifteen massive white eggs with swirling blue patterns.

In a matter of seconds, they all hatched in sync.

SSHHRRRIIIEEEKK..!

Fifteen Maelghors were born in an instant—each fully formed, shrieking violently as they lined up protectively in front of their creator.

Haruto and Kanna didn't flinch. Instead, they took their battle stances.

Their bodies leaned slightly forward as if preparing to dash and strike.

They glanced at each other. A single nod passed between them.

And in the blink of an eye—they vanished.

Just a glitching blur, and they were gone.

Lobby and Hallways

People inside the lobby and hallways screamed or gasped.

Panic swept through the building.

"Where did they go?!"

"Did they just—disappear?!"

"Where are they?!"

Reporters, soldiers, civilians—everyone inside the building scrambled to find them again. Cameramen jerked their TV cameras left and right, desperately scanning the battlefield.

They are nowhere to be found.

Until...
