"As expected of you, Master~," Natasha said with a sly smile. "Even the stubborn commander has fallen for you."
"Yes, yes, girls," Adam said, his voice firm. "Now tell me—what's the situation? Does the captain suspect anything?"
"It's hard to tell, Master," Natasha said thoughtfully. "The captain is naturally distrustful by nature."
"She definitely doesn't fully trust us..." Aurora said, her expression tightening. "Even poor Laura was ordered to focus on decrypting the database."
They're still trying to do that? What a foolish? What's the hurry, now that jig is up?
"I think if she had more staff she could actually trust," Natasha said, her voice tinged with frustration. "She would've relieved us of duty by now."
Come to think about it… without Heidi, captain has to basically stay up 24/7, even assuming lt. Brody can relieve her of duties from time to time… no wonder she choose the shortcut!
"This is fine," Adam said with a shrug, his tone flat. "As long as you're free to wander around, it suits me."
"Yes, Master," Natasha said, a light smile playing on her lips.
"The main problem is time..." Aurora said, her voice tinged with panic. "At this rate, by evening we'll be in range of the combined fleet. There's no way I can neutralize the captain so quickly!"
I still have 'second mutiny' card up my sleeve, but I'd rather not use it recklessly.
"If only we could distract Lt. Brody somehow..." Aurora said, her fingers tapping thoughtfully against her chin, as if lost in deep consideration.
As for as I know, there's no authority that can make captain stop on her track… in the worst case, she'll barricade herself inside crew deck and seal the engine room.
"Arrrgh, this is so frustrating!" Natasha exclaimed her fists clenched in agitation. "Why can't my stupid brain be more useful to Master?!"
"So, mutiny is the only way?" Adam began, but before he could finish, Heidi burst in, interrupting.
"I would not recommend that," Heidi said, her voice firm as she stepped into the gravity prison room.
Just as I find a wit's end, my soon-to-be-slave, Heidi Stroms in.
Even though she completely regained composure, her figure… her appearance… there's no doubt, this is my Heidi!
"I would advise you against mutiny, Ensign," Heidi said, her tone unwavering. "There's no way you- we can win this way."
"Explain," Adam asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"To put it simply..." Heidi said, her gaze steady. "As long as the captain is on this ship, she's invincible."
"I don't get it, Commander," Natasha said, a frown creasing her brow. "She's only one woman, right?"
Sigh... "You might not understand it, Ensign," Heidi said gently, "but this ship and the captain share a special bond."
"Every system... every wall... every device is an extension of the captain's will," Heidi said, her voice low and steady. "It was built that way. As long as she has her omni-tool, she has absolute control."
"Impossible..." Adam said, stunned. "That would require otherworldly willpower...!"
"That's Selana—hero of the Alliance," Heidi said firmly. "You might think you've hacked this system or that one, Ensign, but in reality, as long as she exists, every camera, every autoguns, every terminal... they all serve her will."
"Impossible! That's simply impossible!" Natasha exclaimed, her voice rising. "If that were true, Master would have been caught on his first day!"
