Chapter 19 - Nyx

They both looked around but saw no one, only a vague darkness and shadows.

 "Who's there?" Lowena asked.

"Do not worry, we mean not to frighten you," the male's voice began to come into focus along with his appearance.

He was a tall, handsome man. His skin was as dark as night, and his eyes were glowing a blue, icy white. His muscles were unmatched by any man Lowena had bestowed eyes upon. His gold jewelry and waistcoat made him look exactly what he was: a Greek God.

Soon after, a woman came into focus. She was pale, with deep green eyes, and had long, flowing red hair. Her dress was black, almost smoke-like in appearance, barely covering her body.

"Do not be afraid. I'm Nyx," she introduced herself. "This is my brother, Erebus."

Lowena wasn't sure how to respond.

 "I-I'm"

"We know who you are," Nyx interrupted.

"We visited you last night, but others didn't like us coming in uninvited. Our apologies; we aren't used to having to ask permission."

Nyx suddenly noticed Aiyanna, clearly annoyed by her presence.

 "I-I'll go back," Aiyanna offered.

 "Are you sure?" Lowena asked.

Aiyanna nodded with a whimper before morphing into the most beautiful fox Lowena had ever seen and bolting off into the night.

"You are true beauty," Erebus commented.

Within the blink of an eye, Erebus was behind Lowena, and Nyx was in front of her.

"My brother and I are married," she explained. "We wanted to invite you into our marriage. The darkness you carry is intoxicating."

Nyx placed her palm against Lowena's left breast above her beating heart.

"It calls to us. Begging for a release," Erebus added.

"So I am evil?" Lowena whispered.

"No, you're beautiful," Nyx corrected, pecking Lowena gently on the lips.

Lowena's head began to swirl; the darkness engulfing her was comforting, not terrifying at all, unlike the night before. The kindness in Nyx's eyes eased Lowena's tense body as she felt Erebus's rock-hard abs against her back.

She trembled as his hot hand gently held her waist.

"Please don't hurt me," Lowena begged.

"We would never harm you," Erebus whispered, his hot breath sending a shiver down Lowena's spine, causing her to arch back against him.

 "Agh!" Lowena moaned.

"Thank you for accepting our offering," Nyx said.

Lowena, heavy-lidded, nibbled at her lower lip. Her belly shone off the flickering flames, sweat trickled down between her glistening breasts, and her heart pounded harder and harder in her chest. Loud drums began echoing in the back of her mind, almost voodoo-like. The pounding grew louder and louder, entrancing Lowena to dance with Nyx and Erebus.

Without having to try, her body moved in unison with theirs. It was as if each knew where the other was going next in perfectly harmonized sways. As the dancing grew heavier and hotter, the fog surrounding them thickened and grew smokier.

"Your energy calls to us," Nyx's voice slithered inside Lowena's mind.

"We'll see you in two nights for your answer."

Suddenly, the warmth surrounding Lowena vanished, and she was left alone.

"Lowena?!" she heard a voice calling in the distance, "Lowena?! Where are you?!"

"Keiran?" Lowena called back into the thick fog.

Moments later, Kerian's glowing red eyes appeared before her, searching in all directions.

"Aiyanna, two Gods appeared," Keiran commented as if amped up and ready for a fight, to Lowena's surprise.

"Were you thinking you could fight, not just one God, but two?" Lowena stated.

"Are you going to tell me you feel nothing when you look at me?" Keiran tested, "Does your heart not race when I get this close?"

Keiran held Lowena's waist, pressing his against hers. Lowena didn't know what she felt; the earlier drink had electrified everything that touched her body.
