"Ask my mother and she'll tell you that she isn't a saint. There is a lot I haven't forgiven her for, and a lot that took years for us to settle. It didn't just happen overnight. I was always quite open with you about what my issue was," said Edgar.
Edmund wanted Cassidy, and Edgar had no issue with it. It wasn't his marriage to be concerned about. What he didn't like was Cassidy always placing herself before him, like she was his mother. Edmund knew this, yet he ignored it.
"I thought my mother didn't want to be my mother and tried to send me away so she could be alone, only to later realise she was keeping me from that woman. You could help the kingdom with all kinds of laws, but you didn't think it wise to keep her from our home," Edgar said.
