A few hours later, Hazel left Tobias's side to find Tyrion. She thought he would have left, but found him standing outside in the garden.
"If you want to go home to be with Penelope, you may. Neither your father nor I will stop you," said Hazel.
"I have already sent word to Penelope that I will be home late. I'm sure she'll want to come here to be with the family. I will return before she worries," Tyrion answered.
A moment of silence fell on the pair.
"Your father truly isn't angry with you. This was a long time coming. If you hadn't done it, I would have. I should have done it long ago to save you from her ways. I can't find it in my heart to feel bad that she is gone. I am only here to stand by your father," Hazel said, yet to feel sadness.
