Chapter 82 - Ch. 082 - Congratulations

While I was walking around the party with a belly filled with delicacies and drinks, a hand grabbed my shoulder, pulling my attention to the person who grabbed me.

"Professor Yuki?" I asked as I saw Professor Yuki with a smile on his face.

"I watched your battle last night, Arthur. That was incredible." He said while offering me a drink. "I guess the stories about you weren't exaggerated."

Herewego.

"Oh, that? I just worked hard." I said. Professor Yuki giggled at my answer. "What's so funny?"

"I just like how you said that as if it's normal." He said. "Oh, don't misunderstand. I am not laughing at your hard work. I know you have worked hard to reach that level of Force mastery. That is why I wanted to talk to you, Arthur."

"About?" I asked.

"Shall we walk outside for a bit?" He gestured me towards the door, and I nodded.

The two of us reached outside the hotel. It was night and the moon was high up the sky. Countless, shining stars were visible in the dark, and millions of spaceships were orbiting in the space. The cold wind struck us, making our hair sway along the direction of the wind.

"First, I want to say congratulations for completing the Welcome Ceremony yesterday. All of you have fought hard together to get out alive." He said. "But Arthur. Don't do that again."

"Do what now?" I asked, confused as to what he just said.

"When you were all cornered and you controlled four affinities at the same time. I don't know how you did that, but please don't do that again." He said. There was genuine concern behind his voice.

"Why can't I do the LimitlessForce skill I created?" I asked.

"First, that is a cool naming sense. Second, because if you keep accumulating huge amount of Force like you did yesterday, you could crack your Force Core or permanently get an Energy Poisoning that will hinder you being a Guardian for the rest of your life." He said. "You have great mastery over Force. But that genius you have could kill you if you are not careful handling your power."

"What can I do? I don't have Force Affinity yet. And if I hadn't done that, we would all die." I argued.

"I understand. It is frustrating to have no Force Affinity at your age." He said.

I'm not really frustrated, really.

"But you are putting your core at risk, Arthur. You are genius. But being genius creates a mad one that doesn't know their limits." He added. "I'm not telling you to stop training. Keep doing what you're doing, but don't put yourself in danger like that. You are still young, and there are a lot of adventures waiting for you out there."
