"I don't think he can populate this world; his manhood is for another man," thought Velsun in silence. "
Mimir snorted in my mind.
{Pffft control yourself, lad.}
Twilight, oblivious to my silent roast, beamed.
"Ah, Veldanava-sama, you honor me. Indeed, I have worked tirelessly to create humans, demihumans, and vampires; it is my greatest pleasure.
"Yeah, I bet it is," Velsun thought dryly
Veldanava, as always, ignored the chaos.
"Twilight has done well in his role; thanks to him, many races flourish.
Twilight nodded proudly. "Exactly, without me there would be no humans, no beastkins, no elves.
"No yaoi fan service either."
Mimir was laughing like crazy in Velsun's mind. Veldanava finally turned to Velsun, his smile unfazed.
"Velsun, I trust you will get along well with Twilight."
Velsun sighed. "Yeah sure, just... personal space, alright?"
Twilight chuckled, "I will try my best."
"That's not reassuring," thought Velsun.
Then after chatting for a bit, Velsun roamed around for a while. Then Veldanava wanted to introduce Velsun to be 7 primordial angels
"Standing in a perfect formation, each radiating incredible magicule even though suppressed."
My golden eyes scanned over them as he introduced each one.
Fledway—The guy had dark blue eyes and grey hair. From what I remember, this guy was going to be the main antagonist or something after Veldanava dies. He was very self-centered.
Cornu had a pair of white wings on his back with well-developed muscles. Eye, like Predator, seemed unapproachable.
Obera—a beautiful woman with wavy black hair comparable to the night sky—seemed like a serious and duty-bound individual, very loyal to her elder brother.
Dino, the future king of sloth, the Fallen, and the future demon lord, is interesting to see; he does not look so lazy like in the future.
Garasha—wavy silver-like armor looked kind of cool, and maybe duty-bound, just like Obero seemed pretty.
Pico—a brat of a girl with green eyes and light blonde hair tied in pigtails—seemed shy, but I can tell she is not a normal child. Of course she is not normal; she is a godforsaken primordial angel.
And last but not the least
This Zalario guy intrigued me the most. This guy was later put on guard duty by Veldanava under Fledway; the dude was a cool-headed guy but was later corrupted or something.
He was not the strongest among them; that title belongs to Fledway, perhaps.
But Zalario intrigued Velsun.
Velsun walked towards him with confidence
"You are Zalario, right?"
Zalario turned towards Velsun, studying Velsun carefully, and then he nodded.
"That's correct, Velsun."
Velsun grinned.
"You don't seem surprised to meet me."
Zalario smiled slightly
"Lord Veldanava already has two siblings; another one isn't much of a surprise. It was inevitable that we would meet.
Velsun's eyes narrowed.
"And what do you think?"
His gaze sharpened.
"I don't know why, but I think you have the potential to surpass even Lord Veldanava."
Silence
The Other Angels turned in shock; even Velzard and Velgrynd in mid-eating stopped.
Veldanava chuckled at that, eyes gleaming with amusement.
Velsun smirked.
"That's a bold claim."
Zalario nodded
"It is, but I trust my judgement."
Velsun stayed at him for a moment, then extended his hand
Zalario looked at it, then shook it firmly.
A mutual understanding was formed
Then after a few pleasantries, Velsun decided he had had enough of the grand celebration.
The food was great, the company questionable, as he thought of Twilight Valentine's company
"I need to leave," thought Velsun.
Velsun, the newborn true dragon, had made up his mind; he stepped forward, his golden eyes firm as he faced Veldanava, the creator god.
"Hello, brother," Velsun spoke, his voice steady. "I want to leave this place and go find my own way."
The room fell silent.
Velzard and Velgrynd turned towards him with raised eyebrows while the seven angels stopped their discussions. Even Twilight Valentine, who was enthusiastically explaining about his latest vampire creation, froze mid-sentence.
Veldanava gazed at his younger brother for a moment before a small smile appeared on his face.
"I expected something like that to happen."
He said he is tone-warm.
"The sun is not meant to remain in one place forever."
Velsun nodded.
"I don't want to be just known as God's brother or one of the true Dragons; I want to forge my own path."
Velzard just observed with amusement, while Velgrynd looked on with curiosity.
The creator god chuckled at that.
"Very well, but"
His gaze shifted, locking on to one of his angels.
"You can't go alone."
"Huh? What now, you want a babysitter for me?"
"Zalario will accompany you." Then he turned his eyes to meet his Angel.
"Zalario accompany him."
Zalario looked stunned for a moment, but it went back to normal in a sec. "As you wish, Lord Veldanava."
Velsun stared at him for a moment.
'It won't hurt to have a strong ally, so yeah, why not take him with me? After all, he is one of the seven primordial angels and one of the strongest in the verse.'
"Fine," said Velsun.
"But don't slow me down."
Zalario nodded. "Likewise."
Veldanava observed the exchange with amusement.
"Then go, my younger brother Shine as bright as the sun itself."
With that, Velsun's journey had officially begun.
-------
As Velsun and Zalario walked away from the palace, the true golden dragon spoke inwardly.
"Mimir, scan Zalario."
{Understood.}
A moment later, Mimir's voice echoed in his mind.
{Analysis complete: this individual possesses Isafril, the Lord of Trials, one of the 14 angelic skills.}
{It is a skill that specializes in spatial management; its performance is similar to Uriel, though it lacks the absolute dominance of space. However it allows the user to control the flow of any kind of matter and wavelength, including spiriton within its area of influence.}
"So he has spatial control on a ridiculous level?"
{Correct}.
Velsun smirked slightly.
"Interesting."
Zalario, walking beside him, noticed his expression.
"Something amusing."
Velsun chuckled. "Nah, just thinking that travelling with you might not be so bad after all."
Zalario gives a small nod.
{Lad do you want me to copy this Angelic skill?}
"Wait, you can copy skills?"
{Of course I can! you didn't know I already gave you the information before.}
"Bro, who can remember all that information at once, and why didn't you copy the skill, Gabriel, from Velzard?"
{You never said so.}
Velsun sighed. "Alright, copy it already."
{Alright, lad, initiating replication.}
A surge of information flooded Velsun's mind as isafril The Lord of Trial was analyzed and recreated within him.
His body adapted instantly, and he could feel the new power course through him.
{Replication completed, lad. Ultimate skill: The Afril, the lord of trial has been acquired.}
He smirked. "This is going to be fun."
Angel, walking beside him, suddenly narrowed his eyes; he could sense something had changed.
"Tell me, what did you do just now?"
"Me? Oh, nothing. I just copied your ultimate skill.
Zalario's eyes were wide open at that.
"You..." spoke Zalario, his tone sharp.
"You copied Isafril."
Velsun turned to him with a confident smile.
"Yeah, what are you going to do about it? Fight to death?"
Without warning, Velsun took a sloppy, ridiculous boxing stance, his fist loosely in the air, waving side to side like a complete amateur, and sent an exaggerated punch at Zalario's shoulder, barely making it a tap.
"Come on, make your threats; make your claim."
Zalario had a deadpan look on his face.
"No, I am not going to fight you."
"Why!?!" cried Velsun in an exaggerated and dramatic tone. "I would fight me." Exclaimed the last part with a playful grin.
Zalario sighed at that. This was supposed to be the younger brother of the creator God, the true Sun Dragon himself. But now he was questioning everything.
"You are insufferable." Zalario muttered
Velsun smirked.
"And yet here you are stuck with me."
Zalario let out another sigh, but a tiny smirk could be seen on the corner of his lips.
"So what's it like being one of the primordial angels?"
Zalario was silent for a moment before answering
"It was... empty."
Velsun raised an eyebrow.
"Empty?"
"In the beginning we were nothing more than concepts given form," Zalario explained.
"We were created from light and existed to follow the will of Lord Veldanava—no thoughts, no individuality, no emotion, just purpose."
Velsun just had a straight face and remarked.
"That sounds awful."
Zalario gave a small nod.
"It was only later that we began to change; we observed the world, we learned, and we started to think for ourselves and to question our purpose."
His eyes looking ahead.
"And that's when I found my own ideal."
"And what is your ideal?"
"Freedom."
