Jason could sense all the pain and turmoil in Lamina's heart as she stared at him. Lamina was on her knees with a defeated look on her face, and some royal guards were kneeling behind her and paying their reverence to Jason as well, but even though Jason had gone through all of Lamina's struggles, and he understood why she looked so pitiful, Jason couldn't feel any remorse in his heart for her at all. Jason knew that all of this had been caused by Lamina. If Lamina hadn't voted against him during the trial all those months ago, then Jason would not have needed to go on this journey, and he wouldn't have met Gillian. By acting on her own selfishness, Lamina had damned herself to this fate, and Jason felt no sympathy for her whatsoever.
