Asher didn't tell his wife this important thing because she definitely wouldn't approve of his crazy idea. Even though the person hadn't responded to his calls, he had already mentally prepared himself to face his former best friend turned murder suspect.
"Are you really sure you can meet me in person? What if I kill you directly?" Finally the mysterious person spoke up.
"I don't care. In fact, I'm relieved to see you kill me right away as long as you don't hurt my wife."
"It turns out you really love Serena sincerely. I thought you were just using her."
"No. I never thought of her as a tool. But, I always thought of her as the woman I love the most until the end of my life. Of course I will risk my life to protect her."
"If you say that, what can I do, I will obey you."
Asher's eyes widened. "Did you just trick me?"
"No. I do want to meet you in person too because it will be easier for us to communicate to solve all these problems."
