Serena was surprised to hear the voice of her husband shouting words as if he was facing an actual enemy. She immediately woke up her husband from the nightmare by kissing him on the lips for a few seconds which surprised him.
Cold sweat continued to flow down his neck, his breath was labored, tears wet his eyelids as he stared at his wife who was still alive and healthy. His right hand slowly touched the soft cheek in front of him to make sure that he was free from the nightmare world.
"Sera, I'm scared."
"You don't have to be afraid anymore. I really won't leave you." Serena hugged her husband's body tightly. "By the way, let me get you a small towel. You're sweaty."
Asher nodded. "Don't take too long."
Serena just took a small towel from the cupboard, then lay down again to wipe her husband's wet neck and face. She wiped it with great care.
"Asher, what exactly were you dreaming about that made you break out in a cold sweat? Did I really leave you in the dream?"
