Frankie was startled by her reaction. He hadn't even done anything, so why was she so scared?
Jessie sneaked a few glances at him before quickly looking away, as if genuinely afraid of him.

As soon as she finished speaking, she took out her phone and transferred fifty thousand dollars to him. "This is all I have, so please let me go..."
She cried with tears and a runny nose, leaving him utterly confused. Then, he waved her away.
"Just go, go, go."
With his permission, she wiped her tears and left with Kevin.
Watching them get into an old pickup truck, Frankie sneered as he assumed that Kevin wasn’t that big of a threat. He was just a guy with no brains and no money.
Little did he know, Kevin had secretly recorded the whole scene.
Back in the car, Jessie immediately laughed out. "So, how was my acting just now?"
"Pretty good, but you called me slow-witted..." Kevin raised an eyebrow, planning to hold her accountable later.
