"Ohh..."
A faint moan slipped past Kojou's lips as he forced his eyes open. His entire body felt unbearably heavy, and a throbbing pain pulsed through his head. His memory was still hazy—fragments of the battle mingled with the moment he turned Kanon into his Blood Servant.
He tried to wipe his face to gather his thoughts, but soon realized he couldn't move his arms or legs. His body wasn't just bound by some physical restraint—it was enveloped in a strange warmth, mingled with cool breaths seeping from the icy dome surrounding him.
'What… what the hell happened?!'
The thought screamed in his head as he slowly turned to take in his surroundings. He was lying on soft sand, trapped within a transparent dome of ice that hid him from the outside world and shielded him from prying eyes. But it wasn't the isolation that frightened him.
He was completely naked—and so were the other bodies pressed against him from all sides. Four girls lay scattered around him in suggestive positions that made the events of the previous night painfully clear. The air was thick with the scent of sex and blood, mingling with their warm breaths.
He caught sight of Beatrice, La Folia, Touka, and Kanon—faces half-buried in sleep and disarray—and suddenly, the memories flooded back. The victory over Kanon, the taste of her blood… and then—that crimson haze that devoured his consciousness.
'I got drunk on her blood… and completely lost control.'
He whispered to himself in a voice tinged with sorrow. He wished he could have shared that night with them while fully aware, not as a puppet driven by primal instinct.
To sleep with a Priestess, a royal Princess, an Angel, and a Vampire all at once—no doubt, it was an unforgettable experience. Yet, tragically, he had been little more than a bystander trapped inside his own body.
His faint attempt to move disturbed the fragile silence blanketing the place, as La Folia slowly began to stir. Her long lashes fluttered open, revealing her deep blue eyes that met his with warmth and a trace of shy embarrassment. Her flushed face glowed under the soft light refracting through the icy dome—like a ripe peach under morning dew.
"I was… quite amazing last night, wasn't I?"
She whispered sweetly, her voice carrying a teasing tone as her delicate hand caressed his cheek. Then, leaning closer, she planted a soft butterfly kiss on his face with her crimson lips.
"Though I would've preferred if our first time… was a little less intense," she added with a bashful smile. "But I guess that's an unreasonable request—especially given the state you were in."
"You know..." she murmured, brushing a strand of her silver hair from her face, "I didn't expect things to end up like this."
A brief silence settled between them before she continued, her voice gentler now:
"But despite everything... I don't regret it."
She shifted gracefully, propping herself up on one elbow. The blanket draped over her slid slightly, revealing the soft curves of her body. Her blue eyes caught his stunned gaze, and she leaned toward his ear, whispering in a tone that blended playfulness with sincerity:
"Now that you've taken my virginity... you're ready to take responsibility, aren't you?" she smiled mischievously. "I don't think you're the kind of man who hides behind excuses like 'I wasn't conscious,' right?"
Gulp.
Kojou could only swallow hard. In the pale dawn filtering through the icy walls, La Folia looked like a goddess of seduction descended from myth rather than a mere princess. Even in this intimate moment, her elegance was dazzling beyond reason.
"Don't worry," he replied firmly, masking his unease as he drew a steady breath, "I'll take full responsibility."
He straightened up, trying to regain what little dignity he could as a man. His eyes met hers—those deep blue eyes that seemed to pierce straight into his soul.
"Especially when the other person is…" he paused, choosing his words carefully, "...an exceptional and beautiful woman like you."
It wasn't just flattery. Her milky skin, mature figure, and stunning face framed by silver strands cascading over her bare shoulders were truly breathtaking. Yet her outer beauty was only a fraction of her overall allure.
Even though he knew she possessed a "black belly," she was still remarkable—a woman worthy of standing beside him and supporting his future reign.
At that moment, the others began to wake up one after another. Kanon blinked sleepily at them, followed by Touka, who looked utterly lost and confused.
But Kojou wasn't fooled for long. His gaze sharpened as he turned toward Touka and Kanon.
"By the way," he said suddenly, "are you two done pretending to be asleep?"
Touka and Kanon flinched as if struck by lightning. Their faces turned as red as ripe tomatoes, and they frantically scrambled to grab their clothes scattered across the sand to hide their bare bodies.
"W-We weren't pretending!" Touka stammered, her voice trembling as she hid half her face behind her school uniform shirt.
"W-We just... woke up, that's all!" Kanon mumbled softly, her eyes darting away in embarrassment.
As for Beatrice—she was still fast asleep, a thin trail of drool slipping from the corner of her mouth. Yet the satisfaction and bliss etched on her face made it clear she was having a pleasant dream.
La Folia smiled innocently. "Oh my, so you were spying on us? How shameful!"
Gathering her courage at last, Touka glared at him. "If you promised her to take responsibility, then don't think you're getting away from us either!"
"Don't worry," Kojou said, his flustered expression fading into something firm and confident. "I'm a possessive man—and now that I've laid eyes on you, none of you are escaping me."
There was no deceit in his words. He spoke honestly, with the pride of a man who already made up his mind. The rice had already been cooked, and he had no intention of letting any of them go.
"As for that woman..." he muttered, raising his now-free hand toward Beatrice, who was still clinging to his leg and sniffing it in her sleep. A glowing magic circle appeared before him. "—Empelum Dydeya!"
Empelum Dydeya was a binding spell that allowed the caster to tie a target's source to their will. The bound person would be unable to disobey or betray their master in any form—mere thoughts of rebellion would cause excruciating pain worse than death.
Though Empelum Dydeya was a powerful spell, it normally required lengthy chanting, and if the target's willpower was strong enough, it could fail. But that wasn't a problem for Kojou—he could cast it with a mere thought.
And as for willpower, Beatrice was no threat. A woman ruled by greed and ambition had no will strong enough to resist.
As expected, ethereal chains materialized around Beatrice before fading into her body, entwining with her source. A faint mark resembling shackles remained on her neck—the proof that the spell had taken hold.
TOOOOOT!
A loud ship horn blared outside, drawing everyone's attention. Kojou immediately recognized the sound—it was the Oceanus Grave, Vatler's favorite vessel.
Realization dawned, and a faint smile curved his lips. How convenient—Vatler had come to pick him up after all. The man always knew better than to interrupt him at the wrong time.
Kojou was, indeed, very satisfied.
