"So… are you saying you dragged me to this remote island just to be a living advertisement for your new product?" — Kojou glared at Beatrice Basler as his blue eyes gradually shifted to crimson, as if the anger he had tried to suppress was now overflowing from within.
Beatrice Basler was that seductive woman who had previously deceived him and Touka at the Magus Craft headquarters, ordering that man named Lou to abandon them and leave them stranded on this deserted island.
A mature and captivating woman, with blonde hair cascading like gold over her shoulders, and violet eyes radiating cunning. Her alluring body defied all standards of modesty, embodying temptation in its purest and most dangerous form. Even Kojou, who had seen many sublime beauties, could not deny the pang of attraction he felt in his chest when he first saw her.
Yet that allure quickly faded in the face of her behavior. She acted like a third-rate villainess, overly confident, brimming with arrogance and whimsy. Kojou could only feel revulsion toward her—pure, boundless disgust—even though he did not deny to himself that she was… visually striking.
"Don't be so angry, Fourth Primogenitor. I only need your help to promote our Angel Faux. Our little angel just killed the strongest Vampire in the world. What do you think?" — A maddeningly seductive smile spread across Beatrice's face as she winked enticingly at Kojou, whose face darkened with black streaks.
"Fine, let's see what your little angel can do," — Kojou said, spreading his hands slightly as he gestured toward Beatrice — "But in return, when I crush this little fake angel, you'll become my servant."
"Ora~! It's an honor to serve the Fourth Primogenitor. But first, let's see what you can do against Angel Faux-chan." — She said, pulling a small controller from the deep cleavage of her chest and pressing it lightly.
"Do it! XDA-7!" — Beatrice shouted as Kanon rose behind her, standing upright. Her body was enveloped in magical formulas, her beautiful face void of any emotion, and a pair of angelic wings spread from her back.
A fine dust rose around Kanon as she stepped forward with measured strides. White magical lights intertwined with intricate symbolic threads covered her skin like animated tattoos. Her features were a deadly calm, her blue eyes lifeless, reflecting the coldness of a machine rather than a human.
Kojou stood still for a moment, his crimson eyes piercing her as if delving into the depths of her stripped soul.
"So…" — he murmured softly, void of any emotion — "you turned an innocent girl into an angelic puppet… all just to sell your new game?"
Beatrice laughed briefly, a confident, rehearsed laugh:
"Oh, don't be so dramatic, Fourth Primogenitor. That girl lost her will long ago. I only gave her a new purpose. Isn't that… humanitarian work?"
Kojou coldly raised his gaze to her, then turned his head back toward Kanon. In his eyes reflected that false pure aura, before any trace of hesitation vanished.
"Very well… I'll crush your little angel, then show you what true anger from a primal vampire means."
At that moment, the air suddenly trembled with a faint explosion, and Kanon surged forward with inhuman speed toward Kojou. Her body moved with astonishing grace, her wings fluttering like a sacred flash.
Kojou did not hesitate and leapt backward lightly as Kanon's strike came inches from hitting him, evading calmly.
Boom!
The sand of the coast exploded beneath their feet, and everyone on the island felt the entire ground shake from Kanon's attack.
"Senpai/Kojou!" — Touka and La Folia shouted anxiously as dust and scattered sand blocked their vision.
"I'm fine. I think it's best if you focus on your own opponents," — Kojou's calm voice echoed, while Lou and Beatrice were already ready for battle.
"GRAAAAH!!" — Seeing that Kojou was completely fine, Kanon let out a furious roar. The number of wings on her back increased to three pairs, each containing eyes in the middle.
"It seems the royal family of Aldegyr Kingdom has incredibly strong genes to evolve into an angel with three pairs of wings so easily. Especially since she's just a poorly-made imitation," — Kojou smiled nonchalantly as his hand turned black, with fine lines of bright red and a blood-red misty aura emanating from it — "Come on, Regulus-Aurum… Al-Nasl-Minium!"
Two colossal beings appeared behind Kojou in the air. The first was a lion-like familiar with glowing red eyes and a lightning-like mane, capable of producing and manipulating lightning strong enough to weaken a divine vibration barrier and obliterate hundreds of kilometers with its power.
The second was a bicorn-like familiar with glowing purple eyes, black skin, a purple flame-like mane, and floating plate-shaped armor around its neck. It could produce and manipulate sound, generating sound quakes and waves capable of tearing molecules at an atomic scale with high-frequency vibrations.
The roar of energy in the sky signaled a deadly storm. The two spiritual familiars summoned by Kojou seemed to tear the fabric of reality itself upon their appearance, dispersing the clouds above the island and filling the air with dense vibrations of pure energy.
Regulus-Aurum, the cosmic lion with red eyes, roared with a terrifying sound that made the sea waves retreat as if fleeing from something greater than annihilation itself.
"RRRROOOAAARRR!!"
Sparks of electricity erupted from its golden fangs, splitting the sky into a network of blazing lightning.
Beside it, Al-Nasl-Minium, the bicorned creature with violet eyes, let out a metallic scream resembling shattering glass. The lethal sound wave tore through sand, water, and air simultaneously, forcing Lou to cover his ears and scowl.
Rocks on the horizon cracked from the vibrations alone. Yet Kanon remained unaffected by Kojou's devastating attack.
"This is useless, Fourth Primogenitor. No matter how powerful your Beast Vassals are, they cannot destroy anything in a higher dimension than theirs," — Kanase Kensei said calmly, adjusting his glasses, though it was clear he was pleased to see that even the world's strongest Vampire could not harm his beloved daughter.
"…" — Kojou fell silent upon seeing Kensei's expression, having previously used Spiritual Sight to access the world's memories. He knew Kensei was right and loved Kanon as his own daughter, since she was his younger sister's child. Though the path was twisted and disregarded Kanon's will, this was his way of protecting her from danger. The incident at Adelard's Abbey had traumatized him, leaving him obsessed with safeguarding his daughter.
"Thank you for the explanation, old man," — Kojou smiled lightly at Kensei — "Don't worry. From now on, I will protect Kanon and will not allow anyone to harm her."
"…" — Kensei blinked in confusion, realizing he had said nothing about wanting to protect Kanon, yet the Fourth Primogenitor seemed to have understood and even prepared to shoulder the responsibility of keeping her safe, which left him astonished.
"Come on… Al-Meissa-Mercury!"
A double-headed serpent dragon, also called the Dimension Eater, appeared behind Kojou. This familiar was capable of reality warping, consuming void and space, and withstanding angelic powers. Its mouth could devour anything akin to a black hole.
Al-Meissa-Mercury appeared in its majestic size, shocking all present who recognized the Dimension Eater. Without giving them a chance to comprehend what was happening, it roared loudly and lunged toward Kanon at incredible speed, swallowing the divine vibration barrier around her and sending her to a lower dimension alongside Kojou and the others.
