"When are they going to get here?" Ramon asked, feeling exhausted from all the waiting.
"They should be here soon." Marco said, slurping on his Chinese takeout noodles they had ordered.
Everyone else was having those noodles.
For a kidnapping, they sure were relaxed and the hostage was playing cards with the leader.
If they were caught like this, then they were definitely finished, but luckily, they put someone on watch duty.
"Can't believe we're spending New Year's Eve eating take-out noodles," Ramon grumbled.
"Would you rather have pizza?" Marco asked and they laughed.
"You know what I mean." Ramon barked at them.
"It's almost midnight, isn't it? It's nearly the new year." One of the rogues asked. "Are you sure that Alpha is coming? He has a very important event. Can he really afford to miss it?"
"Just shut your trap, he'll come." Ramon barked at him. "We already got the response from Rhaeger, didn't we? They're coming."
