Waking up to a morning without Noah hit more than it should've. Michael opened his eyes to the rays of light seeping into his room through the blinds and then his eyes rounded the room.
Everything was as it was. Nothing looked different.
Then, could he assume that the previous day was nothing but a dream? A nightmare?
He disregarded the soggy feeling in his eyes from crying himself to sleep and turned around but Noah wasn't there.
He lay on the bed, his eyes on the ceiling as he wondered if Noah had gone to make breakfast. Probably fried eggs again.
He just needed to wait there and Noah would come in and wake him up with a kiss.
Yeah, so he could just close his eyes for the moment and sleep until Noah came to wake him up.
He closed his eyes and fell asleep but the next moment he woke up, it was already past noon.
Noah did not come to wake him up with a kiss.
