Chapter 147 - Chapter 147: The Loneliness of the Battle

On the other side, Batman observed, "Using that guy has only escalated the danger level of the Creation Riders."

"What exactly are you planning?" he demanded, visibly perplexed by Steve's actions. Despite the gravity of the situation, Steve remained unperturbed.

"I just want to become stronger," Steve said calmly. "Before they advance to the next stage, I want them to first understand themselves."

Hearing this, the audience across the three realms immediately felt uneasy.

"Why does Steve seem to be raising us like fish?" one person exclaimed.

"I think everything is going according to his plan," another added nervously.

"He's terrifying—who knows what his true intentions are?"

Wanzhang, looking to Soichi for answers, asked, "Where's the Battle Rabbit?"

"He's gone to the research institute," Soichi replied. "He's investigating the Sky Wall and tracking down Faust's base to save Ritsuya."

Wanzhang looked surprised. "He's doing all this for a friend he doesn't even remember?"

Soichi smiled faintly. "It's not just about that. Battle Rabbit helps everyone in need."

Wanzhang raised an eyebrow. "Does he enjoy helping people that much?"

Pouring a cup of coffee, Soichi explained, "It's not quite like that. He's lost his memory and doesn't know who he really is. That unease drives him to embody the ideal person he longs to be. While his actions are genuine, they're also rooted in his inner turmoil."

The audience across the three realms fell silent, their hearts heavy with the revelation.

"Battle Rabbit's willingness to help isn't just altruism," someone muttered. "It's because he's haunted by a loneliness we can't comprehend."

On-screen, Wanzhang sat quietly, lost in thought. Meanwhile, Soichi took a sip of his own coffee, his face contorting. "So bitter," he muttered.

The audience burst into laughter.

"Look at Soichi! So serious about his coffee-making, yet it's undrinkable!"

A Search for Truth

Meanwhile, Battle Rabbit was busy at a computer. Himuro Gentoku approached him. "Why are you digging through all this information so eagerly?"

"I need to understand the Sky Wall," Battle Rabbit replied without looking up.

Gentoku leaned closer and whispered, "Do you know about the gas that emanates from the wall?"

Battle Rabbit shook his head.

"It's called nebula gas," Gentoku explained. "It's not naturally found on Earth and is the key to Katsuragi's research."

"Nebula gas," Battle Rabbit repeated, intrigued. Gentoku gestured toward Utsumi. "Bring out Katsuragi's research files."

"Are you sure he can see them? They're highly classified," Utsumi hesitated.

"Let him see," Gentoku affirmed.

As Battle Rabbit poured over the data, Misora and Sayo shared a quiet meal. Sayo suddenly asked, "Misora, do you have a boyfriend?"

Caught off guard, Misora's hands trembled, spilling chili sauce everywhere. The audience erupted into laughter.

"That was such an innocent question! Why's she so nervous?"

Misora stammered, "Of course not!"

"Then, are you interested in Battle Rabbit or Wanzhang?" Sayo pressed playfully.

Misora turned beet red, waving her hands wildly. "Why would you ask such a thing?"

The audience laughed even harder. "Her reaction is priceless!" one person noted.

As if on cue, Battle Rabbit barged into the room. "Misora! I've found a crack in the Sky Wall!"

Misora froze, her heart racing as he grabbed her shoulders in excitement. Oblivious to her flustered state, Battle Rabbit rushed out, leaving Misora staring after him, her face flushed.

"She's definitely interested in him," someone observed in the chat group.

Discovery and Danger

Elsewhere, Wanzhang was doing push-ups when Battle Rabbit called him a "stupid gorilla."

"Who are you calling a stupid gorilla?" Wanzhang barked, leaping to his feet. The playful banter ended as Battle Rabbit revealed his discovery: the location of Faust's base.

Arriving at the site, Battle Rabbit explained, "The Sky Wall's nebula gas can transform ordinary people into monsters, or Smashers. Faust has been using this for experiments."

"Those bastards!" Wanzhang growled.

The duo infiltrated the facility, taking down mechanical guards. They soon stumbled upon a grim scene—human test subjects restrained on laboratory beds.

Battle Rabbit's face darkened. "This is it," he whispered. "This is where I was experimented on."

The revelation sent shockwaves through the audience. "So, this is where it all started," someone murmured.

Wanzhang grabbed a scientist by the collar. "Who's responsible for all this? Tell me!"

A voice interrupted from above. "That would be me," Steve said as he descended the stairs. Calm and menacing, he declared, "I really don't want to kill such valuable samples."

"Samples?" Wanzhang roared, charging at Steve, only to be struck down by a sudden black mist emanating from his opponent.

The audience gasped. "What is that? Is he poisoned?"

Steve turned to Battle Rabbit. "You're quite special," he mused. "You've been injected with nebula gas but didn't turn into a monster. Instead, you gained the power of a Kamen Rider."

Enraged, Battle Rabbit activated his transformation. "Rabbit, tank—best match! Are you ready?"

A furious battle ensued. Battle Rabbit delivered a series of blows, finally pinning Steve to the ground. "Who injected me with nebula gas? Who stole my memories? Answer me!"

Steve only laughed, further fueling Battle Rabbit's anger. The audience, cheering him on, relished seeing Steve finally get his comeuppance.

"Don't stop! Keep going!" one viewer urged.

The Fight's Aftermath

Despite his fury, Battle Rabbit began to notice something unsettling. Steve's laughter hinted at a deeper scheme. "You're just a pawn in a larger game," Steve sneered before disappearing into the shadows.

As the dust settled, Battle Rabbit stood amidst the wreckage, his fists trembling. Misora and Wanzhang rushed to his side, their concern evident.

"What now?" Wanzhang asked, his voice steady despite his injuries.

Battle Rabbit took a deep breath. "We keep moving forward. This isn't over."

The audience across the three realms shared their thoughts, a mix of excitement and trepidation for what lay ahead. "The loneliness of the Battle Rabbit isn't just his burden," someone remarked. "It's also his strength."
