Mudu stared at the swarm of Iron Golems pressing down on them in a dark, crushing mass. He shook his head, completely bewildered.
"This definitely isn't right... I remember our mechs weren't this square."
"That means they are enemies."
Hulei landed on all fours, his entire body surging with power as he charged directly at one of the Iron Golems. His claws raked across the chest of one, producing a piercing screech of metal on metal. Yet, there wasn't a single scratch left on the Iron Golem's body. If not for the spiderweb of cracks that appeared on the Golem's surface, he would have thought his strike hadn't even connected.
Before Hulei could comprehend why the Luofu's 'Aurumaton' technology had updated to a level where he couldn't even inflict surface damage, two Iron Golems had already surrounded him.
They simply raised their arms, which were as thick as pillars. The next second, Hulei saw the ceiling.
Bang!
Hulei's head made intimate contact with the ceiling. If the Shackling Prison hadn't been built so robustly, his skull might have pierced right through that layer of stone.
The moment Hulei landed, another Iron Golem stepped up and delivered a supplementary uppercut. His face, once again, made intimate contact with the ceiling.
Standing not far away, Mudu and the other Borisin watched their own Warhead being batted back and forth by these strangely shaped 'Aurumatons' like a shuttlecock. Their faces were washed with horror.
"Lord Warhead!"
"Brothers, charge! Tear these damn Aurumatons apart!"
---o---
Mudu and the pack didn't care whether they were a match for the Iron Golems; they let out savage howls and charged, instantly engaging in a chaotic brawl with the mechanical constructs.
The result was that they, too, experienced the sensation of being treated like shuttlecocks and learned just how solid the ceiling of the Shackling Prison truly was.
Wang Cai, mixed in with the Borisin crowd, frowned and silently retreated to the back of the group.
With Mudu and the others drawing the hate, Hulei finally found a chance to land on the ground. This time, he didn't recklessly attack. Instead, he carefully observed the Iron Golems in front of him.
He discovered that while these Iron Golems were sturdy and possessed immense strength, their attacks were extremely simple. Furthermore, they would stare at one person and beat them to death; only when attacked by others would they switch targets.
Having grasped this point, Hulei struck again. Moving at extreme speed, he weaved through the group of Iron Golems, stealing swipes at them whenever they were occupied attacking other Borisin.
Gradually, the number of Iron Golems on the field began to decrease. However, in exchange, for every Iron Golem that fell, several Borisin heads were smashed into pulp.
"These damn Aurumatons!"
Even Hulei couldn't help but curse. The main issue was the slaughter against these emotionless, sensory-deprived Aurumatons offered absolutely no thrill of battle. He couldn't enjoy the feeling of ripping open raw throats or sensing life fade away between his claws. This kind of fighting was not what the Borisin desired!
"Wolf cubs, stop tangling with these Aurumatons. Let's go."
Hulei shouted a curse and signaled for the Borisin to prepare to retreat.
However, just as they turned around, they were shocked to find the other passageway behind them already filled with Cloud Knights. Standing in front of those Cloud Knights, a gray-haired girl raised her hand to adjust the sunglasses on her nose, facing a wall as she spoke coldly:
"Want to leave? Afraid it won't be that easy."
Standing beside her, Dan Heng looked at her posturing while talking to the wall, then glanced at the speechless Borisin on the other side. He coughed lightly and whispered a reminder.
"Xing, you're facing the wrong direction. That is a wall."
Xing's eyebrow twitched. She reached out, lifted her sunglasses to take a peek, then turned toward Hulei's direction and put the sunglasses back on.
"Want to leave? Afraid it won't be that easy."
Dan Heng couldn't help but cover his forehead and sigh. "Is that line absolutely necessary?"
Xing lifted her sunglasses again, tilted her head toward Dan Heng, and whispered, "We are leading a Cloud Knight squad right now, we have to say something cool for the scene, right? I can't exactly ask them to stay for dinner, can I?"
Dan Heng was speechless. He simply silently pulled out Cloud-Piercer, spun the spear casually, and pointed it at Hulei, his tone cold.
"Hulei, surrender and be captured."
"Arrogance!"
Hulei was furious. It was one thing to be imprisoned for several hundred years, and he could overlook being mocked by Fu Zhu while he was bound. But now that he had escaped, how dare every random person try to provoke him!
Hulei shook with rage and charged straight at Dan Heng. His speed was so great that the floor where he originally stood was instantly shattered by his kick, emitting a sonic boom.
In the blink of an eye, Hulei had already appeared right in front of Dan Heng. The distance was so close that Dan Heng could see the gaps between his fangs.
"Kid, you better pray your body is as hard as those Aurumatons!"
However, just as Hulei prepared to strike, Xing and Dan Heng stepped back in perfect unison. Xing, seemingly out of nowhere, pulled out a miniature wooden boat model and slammed it directly onto the ground right in front of Hulei's face.
Poof.
Instantly, it transformed into a wooden boat large enough to seat two people.
Hulei didn't understand, but he stomped heavily straight down, intending to crush it. But the moment his hind leg touched the wooden boat, his vision shifted.
He was suddenly 'obediently' sitting inside the wooden boat.
Xing looked at Hulei's massive body squeezed into the boat and couldn't help but snicker.
"Old Bro said this boat works every time. Dan Heng, why do these guys always want to step on the wooden boat when they see it?"
Seeing Hulei trapped, Dan Heng felt relaxed enough to answer Xing's question.
"Based on universal rationality, a normal person wouldn't expect a wooden boat to have a touch-triggered mechanism."
Xing chuckled twice, then turned her head to the Cloud Knights behind her and grinned broadly. "Little ones! It's your turn to make a move!"
Receiving the command, the Cloud Knights behind her couldn't help but let out waves of strange "Jie Jie Jie" villainous laughter. Then, each of them pulled several snowy white [Bones] from their waists, wearing sinister smiles as they walked toward Hulei, who was trapped in the boat, and the remaining Borisin.
Hulei's heart skipped a beat. He roared at Xing, "What do you want to do?"
By now, Xing had pulled out her baseball bat. She swung it casually twice and said, "You should worry about yourself first."
Saying that, she copied the bat and bashed Hulei on the head three times—Bonk, Bonk, Bonk.
Furious, Hulei swung his claws wildly at Xing, but hindered by the [Boat]'s control, he could only watch helplessly as his claws stopped just a few inches from Xing's throat.
Xing silently calculated the distance, grinned mischievously, and used the baseball bat to draw a white line on the ground. She stood just behind the white line, waiting for Hulei's attack to stop before immediately using the bat to bonk him a few more times to re-aggro him.
Dan Heng watched Xing, who had suddenly started playing again, and felt a bit weary.
At this moment, the trio led by Fu Zhu arrived at the Shackling Prison and quickly found Xing's group.
As soon as Fu Zhu arrived, he saw Xing standing outside the white line 'playing' with Hulei, and he felt somewhat helpless.
"Little Sister, it's getting cold. Hulei's role has come to an end."
