No one knew how long the silence lasted before Hatake Kakashi finally set down his well-worn copy of Icha Icha Paradise with a sigh.

What Sasuke didn't realize was the irony of fate in Konoha. The so-called "losers" often rose to godlike heights: one became a Sage, one became Hokage, and another even gained the power of the Sage of Six Paths.
Even as jealousy gnawed at him, Sasuke resolved silently: once this incident ended, he would go to the Fifth Hokage, Uchiha Yuta, and demand a way to grow stronger.

Hovering above, Uchiha Yuta gave Kurama no face at all. His tone was cold. "Stay in line… or face the consequences."

With a low, aggrieved cry, the Nine-Tails flicked its tails helplessly and retreated back into the seal within Naruto's body like a beaten dog.
How humiliating.
It had emerged with such confidence—only to be crushed by this Fifth Hokage, whose power eclipsed even Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.
And yet, one thought gnawed at Kurama's mind as it vanished: Why hasn't the Sage of Six Paths appeared? Why does he allow this Uchiha to act unchecked across the shinobi world?
Suppressing its doubts, the Nine-Tails had a vague premonition. One day, the Sage of Six Paths would step forth to confront Uchiha Yuta. And when that happened, Kurama might yet seize its chance.
With a final boom, the Nine-Tails retreated fully into Uzumaki Naruto's body.

Feeling Kurama's chakra settle into obedience within him, Naruto flexed his fists and laughed through tears. "I've gotten stronger… I really have!"
For Naruto, the road had been unbearably hard. Once, he had believed himself a loser, crushed even further after discovering the truth of the Third Hokage—Sarutobi Hiruzen, the man he'd once seen as a grandfather, who had in truth betrayed him.
But now, standing here, blessed with Kurama's full power under Yuta's guidance, Naruto finally felt hope.
The only regret in his heart was that Hiruzen—the "trash of the Third"—had already been slain by the Fifth Hokage.

Yuta's lips curved faintly. "Get used to the Nine-Tails' power. From today, you are a true jinchūriki."

Naruto nodded fervently, joy lighting his tear-stained face.

So many titans of history gathered in one place—it was beyond terrifying.
And on the other side of the screen, those very legends—Madara, Obito, Black Zetsu, and others—stared back at Konoha, their faces twisting in disbelief at what they were seeing.
