Chapter 469 – Been so long
The wives excused themselves, leaving behind Noah and Red to talk. The husband and wife were inside the Infinite Records' realm, the Tree of Ashes itself, sitting atop a branch which was the true body of Luelle.
The atmosphere around them was peaceful. There was no wind, yet the ashen leaves of the realm rustled gently as if a breeze whispered to them.
They had been there for… Red didn't know. The concept of time barely existed inside that realm, making it hard for her to guess anything.
But she didn't even want to.
She needed peace. She needed comfort. So, wordlessly, the Paragon of War leaned her head on her husband's left shoulder, then closed her eyes.
The wound in her heart was still fresh, bleeding furiously. Still, now there was a little solace wrapping her in a cocooning embrace.
"Do you believe in me, Red?" Noah suddenly asked, his face fixed on the waves of ash drifting in front of him.
