"I see," she said after a moment of silence. She had her chin tilted up as if to establish dominance, to show him she wasn't deterred even after being rejected.
Wooyun had to admit, it was impressive. She struck him as the type of woman who didn't have to put on airs, but she did so anyway. As if she had something to prove. And perhaps she did, but that didn't matter to Wooyun. It wasn't as if he needed to know her identity. They wouldn't be seeing each other after this boat docked at the pier.
"May I ask why?"
"I already have a master I've dedicated my life to. Betraying him would be worse than death." He said simply, though his words were anything but simple.
Lady Ye-rim could see the devotion in his eyes, and although she wanted nothing more than to have this tiger in the making in her ranks, there was nothing she could do if he belonged to someone.
"What a shame." That was all she could say.
