I'm sure everyone has already heard about it in one way or another, but the Teeth organized a series of attacks throughout the city.
According to the latest reports, the attacks were a distraction for the challenge for the mantle of Butcher.
That's right, folks, we now have Butcher XIV, Quarrel.
You can find her wiki page here: LINK
Her power mainly revolves around shooting a bow, so she needed some space to take out Butcher. The rest of the Teeth were just running interference and distracting the Protectorate, giving Quarrel time.
Multiple locations were attacked, including Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, Madison Square Garden and the West River Mall.
The last location is especially notable because there was a Wards meetup at the time. The Wards held out until Legend arrived and wiped the Teeth out. Jouster got injured, but thankfully no Wards were killed thanks to Shelter setting up his forcefield in time.

Not even a week after the Teeth 's rampage and it turns out that the Adepts have been running an insurance fraud scheme for nearly half a decade. From what I understand, they inserted themselves between the insurance companies and recipients, through moles in government. This allowed them to skim money from insurance payouts. Now that's bad, but the real harm is that people who needed care were left to fend for themselves, because the Adepts either did not provide adequate oversight or outright prevented it in some cases.

The previous night, there was a fight between Armsmaster, Argent and Armiger and Hookwolf's crew plus Alabaster. Results? All villains were captured.
According to reports, it was a 'bring your kids to work' day for Armsmaster and he was driving the little ones home. Halfway there, Hookwolf, Cricket, Stormtiger and Alabaster ambushed them.

Anyway, Dadmaster was driving the kids home when Hookwolf somehow attained flight(?) and rammed into the family motorcycle, sending them into the mother of all road accidents. I'm talking about airborne vehicles.
Apparently Armsmaster sustained pretty serious injuries, his armor and Armscycle are scrapped but the kids only have light bruises.

Are they? I mean creating swords isn't all that great. Circus is a grab-bag and she can create hammers. Lasers are cool, but we don't know how strong they are. I mean, they are clearly strong enough to injure, but maybe it's just pain. Shield/forcefield/whatever is durable enough to tank bullets, but the video's quality is too low to see what the Empire goons are packing, so maybe it's all small-caliber. Argent's healing is apparently not that great. Armiger's telekinesis is either weak or limited, because he didn't use it against Krieg or skinheads. I don't know why he glows though.

I'm pretty sure Armiger's glow is some kind of Brute power. In fact, I think they are both Brutes. Look closely, skinheads are buckling under their blows. Armiger also blocks full swing strikes from grown ass men, and Argent shrugged off several hits with pipes and bats. Armiger also jumps too fucking high.

Half of what you see can be explained by tinkertech. Forcefield generators, rayguns, magnetic swords. Armiger's clearly carries his dad's weapon, why not some more tech? Argent's Magical Girl stick is also new, so it could be Dadmaster giving his little girl a toy. Bet that's how she makes her forcefields. Armiger's glow could be some kind of personal shield.

To answer your first question, I have been studying German since early childhood. Being bilingual is a good look on any resume, as any HR manager can attest. Even if it isn't required for the position sought, it shows the prospective employer that you understand the importance of furthering your own education as well as the discipline required to become fluent in foreign language. That is, if you present it as a fruit of your effort, as opposed to letting the interviewer assume you had grown up in a bilingual household. Which is something of a case for me, but not regarding German.
As for Krieg, in short, the man is a clown. I understand that the cape culture lends itself to certain degree of pageantry, but the least he could do is to do away with his ridiculous accent. I haven't seen such caricature portrayals of the Nazi since Dr. Strangelove. In fact, it was worse, and almost made my ears bleed. If I considered Krieg any degree of intelligent, I would have accused him of deliberate sabotage of the Nazi movement and a part of long-term PRT psyops aimed at solving the economic decline of this city.
I also find stolen valor to be a generally distasteful thing, regardless of the regime that issued those honors. Not to mention that not all of the medals on Krieg's uniform were established under NSDAP.
I could maybe try very hard and invent a plausible explanation for wearing both the 1914 and the 1939 versions of an Iron Cross 2nd class. But what drives a man to combine them with the Prussian 25-Year Long Service Cross, Wehrmacht 40-Year Long Service Cross and Kaiser Wilhelm Centenary Medal? If you take every medal Krieg wore together, you will get a man who joined the army in the 1880s, fought in both wars, served 50+ years with distinction to Wilhelm II, Weimar, and Hitler—likely aged 80+ and still active by WWII's end. And who was also a mother of four, as Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter would imply.
That would certainly explain some of Krieg's actions, given that a man of his advanced years surely suffers from an extreme form of dementia.
I genuinely have to wonder if I haven't made Kaiser a favor by removing Krieg from the streets.

None whatsoever. Gallant, being the senior Ward on the premises, was in charge of the whole operation. He made sure that we followed the protocol and coordinated with the PRT regarding the situation. As for combat action, he played a pivotal role in making sure that my brother and I weren't overwhelmed. He drew away a portion of the criminal mob, leaving just enough for Armiger and me to dispatch. All while keeping an eye out for us in case covering fire was needed.
I understand that being in the middle of a chaotic melee may look more impressive for non-combatants, but I assure you that the overwatch role is equally, if not more so, important to the success of any combat engagement.
As for the credit, Gallant was in charge of our squad. Him receiving most of the accolades is neither unusual nor undeserved. In fact, it is a usual occurrence in any workplace, when it is usually the head of a department who is at the forefront of any commendations. It does not necessarily mean that accomplishments of others are disregarded, only that in this case Gallant acted as the face of Team Gallant, so to speak.
I assure you, I have received my own commendation from Director Piggot – a stern woman with the reputation of not heaping any undue praise.
Honestly, I believe the press simply latched onto the Gallant's name and somewhat misconstrued the whole issue, creating an impression of stolen credit. Which is decidedly not the case here.

I understand that the fighting may look overly violent, but I assure you that all our actions were undertaken within established parameters for appropriate response. The Empire forces were given a chance to surrender and they opened fire in response. In such a situation a swift takedown was undertaken not only for the safety of citizens of Brockton Bay and our own, but also for the safety of the Empire members. As you will notice, they did not fight in formation, had no firing discipline and also didn't much care if stray bullets hit their comrades.
Meanwhile, my own shots were aimed to strictly incapacitate and also had no inherent risk of causing death by blood loss. In many ways, lasers are much less dangerous than bullets.
Add in the fact that I had administered healing to the injured and any danger to the criminals was negligible. It was by no means a pleasant experience for them, but hopefully my intervention will allow them to reconsider their life choices.
As for shooting Krieg the second time, he was still resisting arrest even after my explicit offer of surrender. Despite all his deficiencies, Krieg is still a violent member of a dangerous and irrational movement aimed at solving economic decline of this city with arsons and pogroms. There really was no telling what he would have done next.
So given his propensity for violence and refusal to stop resisting arrest, I chose to incapacitate him in a more thorough manner. All within the established parameters for US parahuman law enforcement.

You would be amazed and horrified at how much effort he puts into not only the management of the Protectorate team, but also in ensuring that he personally is always in peak condition and constantly ready to defend the city from criminals.
I consider myself a hard worker, but even I am humbled by just how much his job demands from him and how exemplary he is in carrying out his duties. I rarely say that, but it is my honest opinion that he should take it easier, lest his health suffer.

I would like to address these accusations by pointing out that the "bad smell" in question most likely refers to the smell of burnt plastic and not any kind of body odor. That smell is the unfortunate result of certain parts of my equipment being subpar. Any further details on that would be delving into the particulars of how my power operates, so you will excuse me for not disclosing them.
I will only point out that the accusations are most likely the result of some patients at the hospital being somewhat frustrated that my healing, while still useful, isn't as potent as Panacea's. As such, the patients may be taking out their frustrations on me by spreading rumors.
