Well it seems I'm not the only stand user; poor Astro got a last-minute call for work, so she had to leave. But, perhaps it was for the best, she wouldn't have liked what's about to come next.

Cafune and I manage to find a decent spot by a tiki bar. Setting down the towels, I flee to the shade of our unoccupied umbrella.
Cafune begins to skip towards the ocean, but hesitates, running back over to me. "Gravy, lets go swim!"
I'm trying my best, but happy-go-lucky Graves is starting to recede into the comfort of pessimism. The sun has sent out its fleet of sunrays to strike my bare pale skin; happy families of screaming kids and obnoxious wannabes with speakers playing mumble rap; it makes me wish to have a speaker of my own blasting silence.
"C'mon, you're such a stink bug; just get your feet wet."
