Chapter 3 - The False King (2)

Lugaria High is known worldwide as a prestigious school that's sought out by many. It is known for its advanced technology, impressive security, and innovative teaching methods. And so highly regarded in its status that it was bestowed the name "God's given school", or at least that was the initial preconception of the school.

Standing in front of the school with cuts and bruises covering his face, and a limp to go accordingly with it stood Kaiser looking as if he was on the brink of collapsing. Surrounding him were fellow students all looking and gossiping about Kaiser's return, but of course he never cared enough to acknowledge their rumormongering since he had his own problems to deal with.

Shit…the first two weeks of school and I'm already the talk of the town. I'd be flattered if it was for a good reason.

"I didn't really want to lean into the thoughts of those nurses. They were so pessimistic about the outcome that would come in the near future, but…to think they'd be right."

With a heavy sigh and sorrowful eyes to pair with his current state, and while not having the proper build-up, he plunged forward into the depths of the school, neither fearful nor excited of the events that may unfold this day.

But soon after he took his first few steps and final passed the school gates, he noticed a familiar figure in his peripheral vision- not so outstanding that he immediately knew who it was, but just noticeable enough to draw his attention towards it.

…Micheal?

Huh…Kaiser?

Both stared at each other for what felt like an eternity. Puzzled at the sight of seeing each other silence temporarily befell them- only for that silence to be broken moments later

What are you doing here?! You're supposed to still be in the hospital!

Well, you know me. Can never be inactive for too long…hehe.

This isn't a joking matter. The nurses had scheduled you to stay at the hospital for at least another week. You didn't leave the hospital unannounced, did you?

No no, of course not.

Hmm…

As strange and amusing as it may have seemed Kaiser actually hadn't left the hospital unannounced by any means. The truth of the matter was that Kaiser had been discharged roughly two days ago under the pretenses of his recovery speed being significantly faster than what was predetermined.

Micheal gave him a squinting look almost as if he was trying to look through him and read him like a book. Kaiser took note of this but had no real reason to bat an eye since he wasn't lying, this caused Micheal to eventually give up on trying to dispel Kaiser's words opting to trust his words while also not seeing any other options.

After finally calming down from this mildly intense moment he sighed in relief only to come to a realization at that moment.

…What if you're under the impression that I'm still supposed to be in the hospital then why are you standing in front of the gate?

When faced with this question Micheal face began to go from a light brown to a mixture of brown and rosy pink- his eyes began to dart to the corners of his eye lids- sweat drops began to drop one after another.

Attempting to explain himself, he began to try and form words only to constantly studded and trip over his own words as if he had just been electrocuted, this caused him to grow increasingly embarrassed and before long he stormed off yelling that he doesn't have to explain himself.

A smile ran across Kaisers' face before telling Micheal to wait up while running after him and wrapping his arm around him while teasing him about being flustered but quietly thanking him for cheering him up.

***

It was an understatement to say that Lugaria High was amazing. The outside of the school was stunning, but the inside of the school was even more brilliant. Big long halls, intricate stairwells, and an excellent navigation system. It was understandable why the excellence of the school reached out further than just Fantasia.

But this thought made Kaiser shudder while walking the halls. Reality soon slapped him in the face as he realized that he had smudged the prestigious reputation of Lugaria High. This realization caused his knees to buckle before falling to them.

Hey…hey, are you okay man? Is it your wounds?

No, it's not that. I just came to realization that I've smudged the reputation of Lugaria. I mean I know it wasn't my fault, but the damage has still been done.

Dang…welp we'll just have to see how it goes.

Unfortunately for Kaiser, he'd soon find out the direction in which his eventful life was headed in.

[Attention students of Lugaria High, this is your principal Dr. Nocturne speaking.]

Why is the principal on the intercoms at this time of the day?

I've gotta bad feeling about this.

[May the student Kaiser Ulrich come to the auditorium at once]

Kaisers' blood began to run thin at the hearing of his name. Thousands of thoughts ran through his head- thoughts of what the school may do, and those thoughts only worsened the closer he got to the auditorium the more the hairs on his skin began to flare up.

His skin began to feel like it was being pierced by thousands of tiny spears. This pain increasingly grew causing him to stop just right in front of the doors to the auditorium.

Shit… I really don't want to go in here. Maybe if I leave now I can-

No need to stand outside of the door Mr. Ulrich. Come inside.
