It was particularly cold that morning when she stepped outside and found him still seated on that swing they argued on last night. She could not believe he sat out here all alone throughout the night in the cold—not that vampires could die of hypothermia or whatnot—but she had just said a few hurtful words to him and he was already breaking down so easily like this. Wish turned around a bit to wipe her tears and blink back the ones that threatened to come.
She then walked up to him, shivering a bit, and stood before him, feeling terrible for being too hard on him last night and ever since they met. Not that it was entirely her fault. Not everyone easily finds being swept off their feet by a dreamy, sexy vampire romantic. Few girls like her find it unrealistic and scary. At times, too good to be true—especially when you have gone through half of what she's gone through.
