After the boring meeting, we all where keen to escape and walk around Earth, Xelax more than anyone else. I suppose without the perpetual war and other normal things in Warhammer, even Earth seemed different, with its greenery and cleaner air.
We were being escorted by some airforce people, but we did not pay much attention to them. Following my advice we made out way to a nearby restaurant to get some food. We all ordered big plates with mostly being meat and salads. I could see the sparkle in Xelax's eyes when she bit into the succulent rib.
It did not take long for all of us to demolish the food and then move on to a nearby icecream shop, Sylvia showed some childishness for the first time in a while, and was enjoying some blueberry icecream with an intensity I rarely see.
Even Nirrti and Xelax was actively digging into their own flavours, the day went on with us just walking around and stopping here and there. The next day we visited the biggest mall in the area and ,oooh boy, was that a mistake.
All three women went on a shopping spree, I think shopping is so ingrained in the female genome that we cant remove it anymore. By the end of it, I had to ask the airforce to send everything back via truck. The poor government was most likely crying blood because, I counted at least a few million was spent.
Well the probably just gonna write it off for some benign expense or some shit. By the end of the second day, we were all relaxed and chilling at the beach, Nirrti and Xelax drawing eyes everywhere they went, Xelax had gained some weight and did not have that gaunt look anymore.
By the 3rd day we were preparing to leave when Hammond summoned me and asked for help. SG-1 is past their call in time and they were on a dangerous mission to Tollanna, to help Sca'ra.
Now I know the Tollan's are a huge pain in the ass, but the outcome of the mission could very easily flip on its head, beginning with it the destruction of the Tollan's, it would also give the Goa'uld access to phase shift technology and powerful ion cannons.
We agreed and started getting ready to leave via ship, as the Tollan gate does not use the same dialing method and thus I will need to go there with my ship. Nirrti suggested we send a message to Ignis Prime to send 2 battleships as backup, they will arrive about a hour after us but is still worth it.
A few hours later we warped to the Tollan's home system, dropping out near Tollanna, I received an notification, that I have been detected on some sort of radar. It makes sense as we were not cloaked and the Tollan's have some good technology.
We made our way to the planet and stopped some distance away from the nearby Goa'uld Ha'taks. Nirrti decided to be overwatch along with Sylvia, me and Xelax beamed straight into the room where the Triad was being held.
The surprise on the Goa'ulds faces where priceless and the weird look I was getting from the judge lady was just as funny. I am currently in my dragon-kin form wearing my armour along with Xelax wearing her ceremonial armour, though not very good for defense could still repel most energy blasts.
I unceremoniously walked up the the podium and gave the main Tollan lady and holo-projector, she switched it on and watched in confusion, the image displayed their planet but on a spectrum that revealed hidden signals.
She quickly caught on that most locations were where their cannon placement were, as we were watching her face run through multiple expressions, we saw another one light up and send a signal to the orbiting ships.
Zapucna quickly caught on to what was happening, and nearly had a fit of rage, but quickly calmed down when he remembered I only had my small ship in orbit, though my ship could take both their mothership, I would prefer to use a show of force, both against the Goa'uld and the Tollan's.
I personally have no beef with the Tollan's, but they are annoying as fuck in the series, as well as having the whole higher than though personality, they also have near 0 empathy, which just makes them all sociopaths. I personnally cant get myself to trust someone who sees themselves as better than everyone else, and on top of that has not desire to learn.
I mean logically, they fucked up by giving tech to primitives without regulating it, or overseeing it. I understand that they got fucked because of it, but the Asgard does this on the daily and it has never backfired that back, because of many failsafes and the Asgard themselves overseeing it.
Coming out of my reverie, I noticed the ugly expression on the faces of the Tollan's as the start piecing the puzzle together, I moved to the side with Xelax to take a seat nearby, we both still armed. I gave Xelax my energy rifle for the time being.
After about 15 of watching Zapucna and the Tollan's panic and run around, me and Xelax were just sitting and making small talk, talking about her universe, though not a named character that I knew from the lore, I figured she must have been part of one of the many buried or redacted information.
She herself has no idea how long she was in stasis, and most things happening it the bloated festering would that is called the Imperium of Man, takes centuries to reach the information banks, and even those are not reliable, as tampering for personal benefit is common.
A little later the judge lady called me to the side and asked, of there was a way out of this mess. I looked over at Teal'c to see if they have made a plan with the Nox lady. It seems not.
Judging by the time it is taking them to mark the final few cannons, within 30 minutes Tollanna will be no more. I simply told her my ships will arrive in 20 minutes and will shoot them out of orbit if they don't back off.
As for Sca'ra, he was locked in human mode, I simply marked him and told Nirrti to beam the Goa'uld out into a container and then send it here. I don't trust these guys to finish the correct procedure anymore, with everything happening.
I received a complicated look from the Tollan's, I just shrugged if of and went back to chatting with Xelax. Ignoring the weird looks from Zapucna and the judge lady.
About 20 minutes later, alarms blared in he triad room, as my 2 battleship arrive near the planet, their size alone dwarfing the Ha'taks, I send a message to Nirrti to land near the building I'm located. I then got into contact with the commander of this expedition.
I told him to lock onto the Goa'uld vessels and prime weapons and shields, though I doubt they can put up any fight against my ships, always be prepared, especially against these crafty fuckers.
Time seemed to pass slowly as everyone lets what just happened sink in, but Zapucna though he was smart and tried to buy time, but I showed him the feed from my one ships bridge, as they locked onto his ships.
He quickly withdrew from the court and left in a transport along with the symbiote. The Tollan's showed some surprise and a little fear not knowing the extent of my weapons of shield power. they decided to play it safe and not involve me or SG-1 further.
Though things went to shit when another 4 Ha'taks dropped out of hyperspace. That idiot must have had a contingency, but he's failed to thinks things through, because the Asgard trusts me to defend most planets under the PPT for a reason.
The Tollans watched in fear as the Ha'taks left orbital range and then turn on my ship, when the reinforcement arrived. My commander, having trained in many simulations, far worse than this, simply and calmly spilt targeting between the 2 ships, targeting 3 each and then waited of them to make the 1st move.
My current Philosophy is never throw the 1st punch, but respond with overwhelming force. The Goa'uld did not hold back and all 6 ship opened fire at the same time, and we watched in real time as my ships tanked enough firepower to glass a planet.
The show serves a dual purpose to show the Tollans that I'm not to be fucked with and that yes my technology is enough to wipe them out if I so choose. The second being as the message to the System lords that, yes, if you fuck around you will indeed find out.
The absolutely vicious grin, revealing my sharp teeth, made the Tollans take a step back in absolute fear, the raw savagery radiating of me, made some lose all colour in their faces as all blood drained away and prepping their bodies to run for their lives, like a deer staring at an apex predator.
