It wasn't long before Casim pulled him out of his research. "Sir, it's time."
Veyne checked the time, and sure enough, it was already 10 p.m. He took a deep breath and stood up. "Let's go."
It wasn't long before he felt like he was on the verge of dying. The evening session was even more intense than the morning one.
Not only that, but his mind once again drifted into the chaos of the past.
Same as in the morning, he started seeing those flashes of his past life. But this time, instead of using them as fuel to push himself harder, he reversed it.
Now, he used the pain in his body as a force to dig deeper into those deeply buried memories.
It caused him mental pain, but enduring all of that, he focused more on his actions and the world around him during those incidents.
He tried to view those memories through an outsider's lens. It was incredibly hard, as the emotions kept bubbling up, disturbing his mental state from time to time.
