Pakura was frustrated; she hadn't expected Kisame to have so much water in his body, ruining her surprise attack.
"It's three against three. Choose your opponents! Kakashi, I spared your life in Wave Country. Today, you die,"
Sasori said coldly to Kakashi, summoning ten White Zetsu puppets.
He actually had one hundred, like his "Hundred Puppets Technique," but controlling that many would consume too much chakra and energy. Ten puppets were optimal against a ninja like Kakashi.
"I accept your challenge,"
Kakashi readily agreed. He'd been at a disadvantage against Sasori in Wave Country and wanted to win this time.
He took out a chakra-infused short sword, different from his usual ones. The white light radiating from it, after chakra infusion, showed its power.
This sword was made after Kakashi returned from Wave Country. He asked Kabuto to modify it based on the Second Hokage's Flying Thunder God Sword, making it even more powerful.
Kakashi usually didn't rely on weapons, but in Wave Country, he found himself helpless against Sasori's strong defense, prompting him to enhance his weapons. This was easy for Suigetsu and the Konoha Research Institute.
"I'll fight Pakura, the traitor. She injured me pretty badly,"
Kisame said, taking Samehada from his back. He shook his arm, shattering the bandages, revealing the writhing, tooth-like blade. He tossed his Akatsuki coat aside.
Pakura, in her ninja attire, smirked, "I want to see how much water you have left to drain."
With Sasori and Kisame choosing opponents, Kakuzu grinned at Itachi, "It's just us two. You're Uchiha Yusuke's top student. Let's see your strength."
Kakuzu paused, a hint of pride in his eyes, "I fought the former strongest ninja, Hashirama Senju!"
Itachi remained emotionless, "Your strength wasn't very high, then."
Kakuzu said darkly, "Surviving a fight with Hashirama proves my strength, doesn't it?"
Itachi shook his head, "My teacher said there were two types of strong ninjas in the First Hokage's era."
"Those who died by Hashirama Senju's hand, and those who survived Uchiha Madara."
"Since you survived Hashirama, your strength wasn't enough to force him to kill you."
Kakuzu's voice rose with anger, "After all these years, I'm underestimated by a brat! Let's fight!"
He made hand seals, releasing his three Earth Grudge Fear (masks: wind, lightning, and fire), preparing for an all-out assault.
Itachi activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and Susanoo. A giant, chakra-clad red warrior appeared before Kakuzu.
Looking down at the shocked Kakuzu, Itachi said calmly, "Let me see your skills."
The battles began: Sasori vs. Kakashi, Kisame vs. Pakura, and Kakuzu vs. Itachi.
At the Chunin Exams, Nagato and Yusuke's battle began, watched by ninjas from various villages.
Seeing Yusuke's confidence, Nagato's eyes flashed. The six Paths of Pain appeared behind him, making hand seals simultaneously.
"Tengai Shinsei!"
Powerful chakra erupted, creating a strong gust of wind. A few seconds later, nothing seemed to have happened. Everyone looked at each other, wondering what jutsu Nagato had used.
But Yusuke's expression grew serious. After Nagato's hand seals, Yusuke sensed a massive meteor falling from the clouds.
It was hidden by the clouds; no one had noticed yet. It was almost as large as Konoha. If it landed, Konoha and everyone in it would be destroyed.
Yusuke's expression changed. Nagato said slowly, "You can't remain calm, can you?"
"How will you stop it?"
Yusuke frowned, "If that meteor lands, even if Konoha is destroyed, Akatsuki will be wiped out too, right?"
Nagato laughed, "Indeed, even I can't survive that. But you won't be so easily defeated!"
"Show me your true strength, Uchiha Yusuke!"
Yusuke produced a long katana—Ryūjin Jakka.
"As you wish!"
