Scene shift—to the bedroom.

Yukina Himeragi nervously dragged a chair beside the bed, her expression tense as she watched Bokue Keikain gently lift Nagisa Akatsuki's shirt, revealing her smooth, snow-white stomach.

"Um… S-Senpai, do we really have to do it this way?"

"Which way exactly?"

Bokue glanced back at her, puzzled.

"You know… lifting her clothes and all…"

The sword-shaman girl stumbled over her words, flushing slightly as she spoke.

"Nagisa-san is still a girl, after all. Isn't lifting her shirt like this a bit too… inappropriate?"

"So when you're seriously injured and wheeled into surgery, do you insist on wearing a full business suit?"

Bokue rolled his eyes in mock exasperation.

Yukina promptly shut her mouth.

"W-Well, that's not what I meant…"

"Then what's the problem? If it was my own body, I wouldn't need to go through this much trouble. But I'm not familiar with Nagisa's internal condition. What if I accidentally fix her wrong? Wouldn't that be a disaster?"

Bokue's tone carried no blame; as he spoke, golden spiritual energy danced on his fingertips, gently flickering like candle flames. Carefully, he pressed them around the energy center area on Nagisa's exposed abdomen—just as one would apply a Four Symbols Seal.

Then—

[Cellular Reconstitution]!

"Nnn…!"

A soft, discomforted groan escaped the sleeping girl's lips, her delicate eyebrows furrowing momentarily from the sudden surge of pain—similar to how Giorno Giovanna's stand healed Mista, the rapid cell restructuring causing brief agony even in unconsciousness.

Yet, it lasted only an instant. The very next moment, Nagisa's expression relaxed once more into tranquil calmness.

Bokue retracted his fingers, dissipating the lingering golden glow of spiritual energy.

"…Is it done?"

Yukina hesitantly asked from the side, unsure.

She couldn't quite tell if the treatment was really over. All she'd seen was Bokue pressing his hand against Nagisa's stomach for no more than three seconds before pulling back again.

Could that have just been a preliminary check?

"The physical recovery itself is complete, yes."

Bokue's eyes softened as he gazed upon the peaceful face of the girl lying on the bed. Then, he swiftly nicked his thumb with his nail, squeezing a drop of rich, vivid crimson blood and gently placing it onto Nagisa's lips.

Beneath the soft lighting, that single drop glistened vibrantly—like a ripe, shimmering pomegranate jewel filled with unimaginable power.

"Wait… Senpai! What are you doing!?"

Yukina jumped slightly at his unexpected act of self-harm, eyes widening in surprise.

"Feeding her my blood, obviously. Is there a problem?"

"But… didn't you just say earlier that she—?"

Yukina trailed off, unable to finish her thought aloud.

According to Bokue's earlier explanation, although Nagisa had somehow inherited the magic and familiars of the Fourth Primogenitor, she still possessed a fully human body. Giving blood to a human—wouldn't that be completely pointless?

"It won't hurt to give it a try," Bokue shrugged casually, unbothered. "After all, since Nagisa's inherited the Fourth Primogenitor's magical power, logically she should have inherited the vampire constitution as well. Though I'm unsure why she's still physically human, maybe a single drop of my blood will trigger the dormant vampiric traits."

"And if it does trigger them… then what?"

Yukina gulped nervously, anxiously following along with this reckless idea.

"That's anyone's guess," Bokue replied after a brief pause, contemplating. "In the best-case scenario, like I just said, it awakens her vampire constitution, letting her fully become the Fourth Primogenitor and thus gain complete control over her familiars. Then incidents like today's won't happen again."

"At worst, nothing happens. No harm done."

"Then… what's the worst-case scenario?"

Yukina asked carefully, almost fearing the answer.

"Worst-case scenario…" Bokue hesitated briefly, before speaking plainly. "It successfully awakens the vampire constitution, turning Nagisa into the Fourth Primogenitor—but simultaneously, her consciousness gets overwritten by the Primogenitor's own persona. Basically, possession."

"What?!"

Yukina's pupils contracted sharply at this chilling possibility.

Bokue continued, his voice calm yet earnest.

"Still, regardless of the outcome, it's preferable to doing nothing. Because… you can't exactly hide today's incident from the Lion King Organization, can you?"

"I…"

His words struck her heart directly. Yukina subconsciously shrank back slightly.

Without question, before she was Nagisa's friend, Yukina was first and foremost a watcher tasked with monitoring the Fourth Primogenitor. Deliberately slacking in her duties for selfish reasons—risking further uncontrollable consequences—was unthinkable.

Nagisa's rampage had happened right in front of a crowded shopping center at the heart of Itogami Island. Concealing something like this was absolutely impossible.

Yet, once the Lion King Organization learned of this uncontrolled power outburst, the most likely order would be execution.

To keep Nagisa alive, their only option was exactly what Bokue suggested: awaken and stabilize her latent Primogenitor powers. Only then could Yukina report that Nagisa had become fully controllable following her outburst.

It was truly their sole viable solution.

"I… I understand, Senpai. Let's do it."

Yukina nodded firmly, making her resolve clear.

Drip.

The glittering crimson droplet fell through the air, precisely landing upon the girl's soft, petal-like lips. The rich color spread like deep red ink diffusing gently through thin paper, slipping past her slightly parted mouth.

"…How is she?"

Yukina leaned in closer, curious and worried. But Bokue quickly stretched out an arm, blocking her cautiously.

"Stay back."

The next instant, chilling, icy-blue magical energy suddenly blossomed around Nagisa. To Yukina's astonishment, the unconscious girl abruptly sat up, slowly opening eyes that now burned an otherworldly icy-blue.

Turning her gaze calmly towards the boy who'd prevented Yukina from approaching, the girl spoke in a slightly archaic tone.

"WAS IT THOU WHO AWAKENED ME FROM MY SLUMBER?"

Ah…

A buffering wheel spun rapidly above Bokue's head. After a moment, he casually pointed at the newly-awakened girl, nonchalantly addressing her.

"Actually, I think there's been a misunderstanding. I wasn't exactly trying to wake you. I was hoping to wake the other girl—so, uh… could you maybe go back to sleep a little longer?"

"..."

"..."

A simple statement, but it effectively silenced both girls.

Yukina, especially, had fully prepared herself to enter immediate combat if the awakening didn't yield Nagisa herself. Yet Bokue acted as if he were politely negotiating, asking the awakened entity to kindly go back to sleep.

Even the blue-eyed girl possessing Nagisa's body paused awkwardly, closing her eyes briefly as if sensing her own internal condition, before reopening them again.

"Ah, I see now. It appears I must thank thee for saving Nagisa. Allow me to formally introduce myself."

With a calm, composed elegance, she offered a small nod of gratitude.

"My name is Avrora Florestina, known as the Kaleid Blood."
