Mahaansh & Vishok could not help but laugh. Even Azurbaan had an exasperated expression.
Vishok: "Are you a middle aged man. Why are you using naming from ages old when time did not exist."
Mahaansh: Seems like you need training on naming sense.
Ben: Ahem?... Well it is my technique, so I name it as I want.
Vishok: Yeah, yeah whatever.
Mahaansh: You need to feel the power from the name of the technique.
Ben: Well, ahm....
Mahaansh: Can't come up with anything to retort-
Ben: Says the teacher who see put the student towards a beast.
Mahaansh: Well I have my reasons for that. Once you recover, I will show you I could have stopped it any second. For now recover."
All of them talked for some time. Mahaansh reiterated that he had his reasons. But Ben was not convinced still. Mahaansh said he will show him a demonstration. With that , they all disbanded and went on their work.
Soon Ben was left alone and meditating. He imagined himself in the middle of the cosmos. From the energy core aura was released circulating through the organs, tissues & glands. The energy released from food he ate as well as the energy in the environment were being converted into aura inside Ben. Under the influence of the cultivation technique, a life energy from various sources confluence in the energy core. From there aura began to flow through the meridians to the various points in the body.
The various injuries in & on Ben healed fast. A faint silhouette of an Aether Lupis was visible around Ben. His cultivation technique had already achieved resonance & harmony, leading to this superior performance.
It did not take long for Ben to recover. Ben had not really overused the aura. He had used it beyond a certain limit. This situation was common among martial artists. It was something from which they could recover easily. They also had to deal with it quickly as life or death can be decided in a fraction of a second in real combat.
After that Ben had some food & started some stretching & exercise. He also revisited the techniques from "Agastya Parvam". With the two innate techniques at hand, he needed to train a bit, to incorporate those two into his fighting style.
He also needed to control the aura consumption of "rush n'ram". When he used it, he had really used a lot of aura, which also used was wasted. He wanted to efficiently use the aura. Hence, he also tried to train in that. He spent the entire day like that. Mahaansh had told that at night he needed to inform somethings. That included the academic side as well.
During his training session, Ben gained several insights. Even though 'Airavatha Sthaanam', 'Sharabha Chalanam' & 'Vyali Mardanam' were physical arts, the principles used in them were extremely useful.
The insights from 'Sharabha Chalanam' helped him in designing a combat chant for the use of 'aether leap'. Airavata Sthaanam', even though a defensive technique, helped him in standing his ground & changing directions. The exercises in these helped in giving strength to the relevant muscle groups. It also helped in the penetration of meridians into these muscle groups as well, reinforcing them using the proper circulation of aura. The mastery of these basics were also an advantage when it comes to combat between closely matched opponents. Although these things might look like it is nothing, in really close fights & mastery of basics often decided the victor, due difference in slight strength and muscle memory.
Another gain that happened was for the 'rush n'ram'. With great effort Ben decreased the aura consumption by 5%. His lupis form had its size reduced but became more solid as the aura became more concentrated. The ethereal form of the wolf became more realistic. It really looked like an aether lupis was in place of Ben. Ben could also decrease the activation time. It took some time to do that but he did. Overall he could say that he increased the effectiveness of the technique by about 3%. He could also control the wolf to a certain extent, albeit not fully. He could now bite as well as ram into his opponents.
The 'aether leap' also had improvements of its own. He could use aether leap in the air for a few seconds. He could not fly with it yet, but he could jump or even double jump using the technique. His control over the technique also improved due to the martial arts from 'Agastya Parvam'.
All these made him wonder about the knowledge and mastery of the 7 sages. They had designed martial principles that were relevant even in this age. It was also effective and versatile to the point that it could be used by considerable variety of meridian wielders. He could not imagine what would happen if some one with yogic power and the right type of body mastered this technique. It would be incredible. Even at the knight level they might be able to go hand in hand with noble class people or animals.
That lead him to another question. About him killing the noble class creature. There was no way he could do that. Now may be he could content with it for some time. But in his stage during that time: no way. When he tried to remember what happened, it came to his mind that the creature was in a frenzy and was not in its right mind. It was flustered and as such could not properly use its power, leading to Ben's victory. He needed to ask Mahaansh about it.
'Vyali Mardanam' was often used with claws, even though it was mainly designed for punches & kicks. Using the principles & exercises of this martial art Ben used the claws to strike at vulnerabilities of his opponent. Using of blind spots & feints were also in this which was exploited by Ben, when fighting opponents. The strengthening of his hands when doing the exercises also helped in the penetration of meridians, thereby strengthening the claw. Overall his body had benefited a lot from these exercises.
With the exercises over Ben went back to get ready for Mahaansh' class. Now he only had 19-20 days for this expedition to get over. He had to make use of everything
